What this says
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026Nikhil Rao reported inconsistent datetime display formats across custom dashboards, with some showing full timezone info and others only dates. Kate Ormerod opened investigation on whether it was a localization setting or a platform issue.
Problem: Custom dashboards displayed datetime fields inconsistently, confusing users. Handling: Kate asked clarifying questions about which dashboards were affected and timezone settings. Nikhil confirmed it appeared only on custom dashboards (Sales Pipeline, Customer Orders) and affected datetime fields only. Watch: Cosmetic issue on self-built dashboards; low urgency but may indicate user confusion about formatting controls.

- created · Nikhil Rao 26 Jun 2026 17:06We've noticed that dashboard timestamps are displaying inconsistently across our custom dashboards. Some show full datetime with timezone information, others just show the date. It's not breaking functionality but it's confusing our users, who are seeing different formats depending on which dashboard they're looking at. We're trying to work out whether it's a localisation setting or something else on our side. Can you check if this is a known issue?
- Public reply · Kate Ormerod 26 Jun 2026 20:23Hi Nikhil, thanks for reporting this. A few questions to help us reproduce it: Which specific dashboards are showing the inconsistency? Is it just datetime fields, or are other formatted fields affected too? And what timezone is your account configured for in the brain?
- Public reply · Nikhil Rao 29 Jun 2026 09:20It's happening on the custom dashboards we built: Sales Pipeline and Customer Orders. But not on the default ones. Looks like it's datetime fields only. Our account timezone is set to Europe/London. I can send you a screenshot if that helps, but it's pretty clear in the interface.
