What this says
Current to 13 Oct 26Feature request: allow non-admin users to share dashboards with colleagues. Currently admin-only. Request logged for product backlog.
Problem: Teams building dashboards cannot share them with non-admin users without admin involvement, creating friction and support burden. Siân noted teams spend significant time on access requests.
Handling: Bethan confirmed dashboard sharing is currently an admin-only function, logged the feature request with the product team, and offered exporting query results as a workaround.
Watch: This is an adoption blocker for the Growth tier dashboards feature. The access friction may limit dashboard value realisation. Feature gap could become an upsell point if product roadmap delivers this capability.

- created · Siân Pritchard 15 Sep 2025 10:13We'd like to request a feature. When our teams build dashboards to answer business questions, they can save them but can't share them with colleagues who don't have admin access. Would it be possible to add a share function so non-admin users can give other people view access to dashboards they've created? Right now, anyone who wants to use a dashboard someone else built either has to ask an admin to grant them access or ask the person who built it to send them a screenshot.

That's a really useful idea, being able to share dashboards between team members would definitely help collaboration and reduce requests to admins. I've logged this with the product team and they'll evaluate it for a future release. In the meantime, dashboard creators can export the query results and share those with their team. I'll keep an eye on the backlog and let you know if this is picked up.
- public_reply · Siân Pritchard 17 Sep 2025 11:46Thanks Bethan. In the meantime, is there any way for non-admin users to give each other access to dashboards they've created? Or is that something only admins can do currently?
- public_reply · Bethan Lister 18 Sep 2025 13:28Non-admin users can't currently grant dashboard access, that's an admin-only function right now. So the workaround is for the dashboard creator to ask an admin to add the people they want to see it, or they can export the data and share that way. I know it's not ideal, but it's the current limitation. The feature request is logged and the product team will review it.
- public_reply · Siân Pritchard 18 Sep 2025 15:12Okay, that's helpful to know. It's definitely something we'd use once it's available, our teams spend a lot of time on these access requests. I'll pass this to our admins as a workaround. Thanks for getting the request logged, Bethan.
