Problem: Imran is building dashboards for account managers at three Yorkshire depots and needs each manager to see only their own location's data. He was unsure whether to use dashboard-level or connector-level filtering.

We have three depots in Yorkshire and each manager needs to see only their own depot's data. I've gone through the documentation but I'm not entirely clear on the approach: should I be setting filters at the dashboard level, or do I need to configure this at the connector level? There's also the question of whether users will be able to override the filter themselves or if it should be locked down. Could you walk me through the recommended way to set this up?- Public reply · Bethan Lister 12 May 2025 14:40Just so I've got this right, you want each of your account managers to see only their own depot's data on the dashboard so they're not looking at the full picture across all three locations, is that right? The way to do this is in the dashboard builder, not at the connector level. Open the dashboard you want to filter, click the Filters icon in the top right corner, select your depot field, and pick the location you want to show. That'll filter all the cards on that dashboard to just that depot. Users can change filters themselves unless you lock them down in the dashboard settings. Can you try that and tell me what you see?
