Current to 13 Oct 26Deepa was building a monthly review dashboard for credit control and regional teams (30 branch managers in North) with orders, disputes, calls and invoices. She needed help configuring region filtering, data freshness guarantees, and view-only permissions.
Problem: Deepa needed to create a unified monthly review dashboard for credit control and regional teams showing orders, disputes, calls and invoices by account, with region-specific filtering, guaranteed fresh data for an 08:00 meeting, and locked view-only permissions.
Handling: Bethan guided Deepa through the dashboard builder, helping her configure the query filters and permissions. Deepa successfully built and tested a dashboard for the North region with 30 branch managers.
Watch: The 08:00 meeting time leaves only 1 hour margin after the 07:00 refresh deadline. If refresh runs late (as was the case in tkt_076_0001), data won't be fresh for the meeting. This is tight SLA execution that could affect adoption if data freshness is missed.

Right now they're working from different reports and when we spot a discrepancy it turns into a blame conversation instead of a data one. I've looked at the dashboards builder and think I can build what we need. But I need to work out three things: how to filter by region, how to make sure the data is fresh before our morning meeting, and how to lock down permissions so the regions can see it but can't edit the mappings. Which account should I start with? Thanks, Deepa

That's the right approach. Two things: how many regions will have access, and when is the morning meeting? The refresh completes by 07:00 each business day. For the dashboard, the steps are: create it, add the account query, set the filters you want, then publish with view-only access. Can you try building a test dashboard for one account and tell me what you see? Thanks, Bethan

I built a test dashboard for one account and the filters are working well. Where I'm stuck is the permissions - I can see a 'dashboard viewers' role but I can't find where to manage it in the system. Can you tell me where that setting is? Thanks, Deepa
