What this says
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026Craig Ashwell reported that the latest variation is missing from the client view. Bethan Lister reproduced the gap and passed it to engineers without a fix date. Craig warned his team will return to spreadsheets.
Ask: Craig wants the missing variation to appear, since that is the whole point of the brain for his team. Bethan reproduced the gap, so the fault sits in the connector for that source, not with his team.
Customer view: Craig is frustrated and says trust is at stake: his team will revert to spreadsheets if it cannot rely on the data.
Next: Bethan has no fix date, and Craig's project managers are to check other clients.

As I understand it, the project and client view isn't showing the latest information your team expects to see, and you've flagged it as urgent. Can you try this and tell me what you see? 1. Open one client you know has recent activity. 2. Look at the project and variation panel. 3. Note the most recent item shown and send me a screenshot if you can. If you can also tell me which client you were looking at, I can reproduce it on my side before I pass anything on. Thanks, Bethan
- Craig Ashwell 11 Oct 2024 15:53Bethan, Sorry for the delay, been on site all week. It's one of our office fit-outs for a corporate tenant. The latest variation isn't there. Where's the variation? My team can't see it, and that's the whole point of having this. I've attached what I'm seeing. Can you tell me what's going on? Craig
- Bethan Lister 14 Oct 2024 15:47Hi Craig, Thanks for the screenshot, that helps. Just so I've got this right: the variation exists in your source system, but doesn't appear in the brain's client view. I've reproduced the same gap on my side, so it isn't something your team is doing. I've passed it to our engineers with your screenshot and the client name, and I've asked them to check the connector for that source. I'm not able to give you a fix date, but I'll update you as soon as I hear anything back. In the meantime, please let me know if you spot the same gap on any other client, as that would help narrow it down. Thanks, Bethan
- Craig Ashwell 15 Oct 2024 17:22Bethan, Thanks. Appreciate you reproducing it. I'll ask the project managers to check their other clients tomorrow and come back to you. But I need this sorted. If the team can't trust it, they'll go back to spreadsheets, and I won't be able to blame them. Craig
