As at Fri 9 Oct 2026Nell Ashcombe writes to Debbie Rowntree about the first invoice, issued 12 Aug 2024 for £14k and due 11 Sep 2024, still unpaid. There is no customer response in the thread.
Ask: Nell asks where the invoice has got to and when payment is expected. She offers a copy of the invoice or a purchase order reference the same day.
Customer view: there is no customer response in the thread, so the reason for non-payment is not shown. Nell allows that the invoice itself may be at fault, which would be BG-Demo's own error.
Next: Debbie to confirm the status and expected payment date.

- Nell Ashcombe 18 Sep 2024 08:36Hi Debbie, I'm writing myself because I'd rather you heard from me than from a system-generated chaser. Our first invoice to Ashwell Mercer, issued 12 Aug 2024, is still showing as unpaid in our accounts. It was for £14,400, which is £12,000 plus £2,400 VAT, and it fell due on 11 Sep 2024. So it's now a week or so past due. I don't know why it hasn't been paid and I'm not assuming anything. It may be sitting in an approval queue, it may have gone to the wrong person, or it may be that the invoice itself has something wrong with it. If it's the last one, that one's on us and I'd like to fix it quickly. Could you let me know where it has got to and when you expect it to be paid? If you need a copy of the invoice or a purchase order reference added, tell me and I'll sort it the same day. Thanks very much for your help. Best, Nell
