What this says
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026Largely logistical: Lewis Kerr and Nicola Brearley book a demo on Harcastle's own data for Wednesday at 10:00. Nicola raised IT approval and whether data stays in her environment; Lewis said the brain runs in the customer's Snowflake account.
Ask: Lewis wanted the demo on real data, using the CRM, helpdesk and accounting system. Nicola will pick three customers: a repeat missed collection, an invoice and complaint in the same week, and one that is quietly fine.
Customer view: Nicola is supportive but cautious. She must clear it with IT and does not want to promise her team a demo the data cannot support.
Next: Lewis writes up the read-access needs in plain terms, and Nicola sends the three customer names.

- Lewis Kerr 22 Jan 2025 12:20Hello Nicola, Following our discovery conversation, I'd like to book the demo. The idea is to show you the brain working on your own data rather than a sample, so that your account managers see something they recognise. To do that properly I need two things from you. First, a view of which sources you would want in the demo: I'd suggest the CRM, the helpdesk where missed-collection tickets are logged, and the accounting system for invoices. Second, a handful of customers, ideally including one with a recent complaint, so we can show the whole picture for each of them. I can do Tuesday or Wednesday next week, either morning. Would one of those suit you and your senior account manager? Kind regards, Lewis Lewis Kerr Account Executive, BG-Demo
- Nicola Brearley 23 Jan 2025 10:33Hi Lewis, Wednesday morning works, 10:00 if you can. Tuesday is full of depot visits. On the customers, I'll pick three: one with a repeat missed collection, one where the invoice and the complaint arrived in the same week, and one that is quietly fine, so we can see the difference. I'll need to check with our IT team before anything leaves our systems, so can you tell me exactly what you would need, and whether it can stay inside our own environment? Let's see it from the customer's side, and I don't want to promise my team a demo and then find we can't supply the data. Thanks, Nicola
- Lewis Kerr 23 Jan 2025 12:18Hello Nicola, Wednesday at 10:00 is booked, and the invitation is on its way. On your question: the brain is built and run inside the customer's own Snowflake account, so nothing needs to be sent to us. For the demo, your IT colleague would only need to give us read access to the three sources for the customers you pick. I'll write that up in plain terms today so that you can pass it on without having to translate it. If they have questions, they are welcome to come to me directly. Your three customers sound exactly right. Please send me the names once you have chosen them, and I'll make sure the demo is set up around them. Kind regards, Lewis
