What was said
What this says
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026Active users are up to just under ten from six, spread across the account managers. Cerys Llewellyn wants to talk renewal early and asked about building a renewals dashboard on Growth.
What happened: Marcus Bell reported average active users just under ten, up by about a quarter on the quarter before. Questions now come from several account managers, and there were no tickets and fresh data.
Customer view: Cerys credited the team session and her question of the week. One account manager said the brain saved her most of a morning, and Cerys called renewal an easier conversation than in January.
Commercial: The contract runs to 24 Jul 2026, renewal date 25 Jul 2026, at £48k a year. Cerys asked to talk early and Marcus will pass that to Tom Ashdown.
Watch: Cerys wants usage to keep climbing, and a few people have not logged in at all. Just under ten is still far from forty seats.

Next steps
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026- Marcus Bell to send a usage summary, the list of common questions and slots for the dashboard session.
- Cerys to find out by the end of the week who wants to build the dashboard.
- Marcus to tell Tom Ashdown that Cerys wants an early renewal conversation and give him the usage story.
Risks
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026- Usage is still just under ten against forty licensed seats, so the value case is not yet secure.
- A few team members have not logged in at all and adoption rests partly on Cerys nudging.
Opportunities
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026- The dashboards builder, already part of Growth, can deliver the renewals by operator view her team asked for.
- A documented guide to how the team uses the brain could embed the habit.
Transcript
- Cerys LlewellynHiya Marcus, am I early?
- Marcus BellNo, no, I'm just getting the screen sorted. Afternoon. Hang on, I'll share it now. There.
- Cerys LlewellynAfternoon. Good timing, I've just had my lunch at the desk, so I'm fully fuelled. The sun's out in Cardiff for once, did you see?
- Marcus BellIt's trying here. Right, what I wanted to cover today is how usage has gone since the team session, what people are asking it, and then a quick look ahead to the renewal in the summer. Is there anything you wanted to add?
- Cerys LlewellynOnly that my team asked me this week if we could get the renewals view into our Monday meeting, so I think you'll like where this is going.
- Marcus BellI do like it. So I've pulled the numbers. Average active users over the last month is just under ten. That's up by about a quarter on the quarter before. Last time we spoke it was six or so, so that's real movement.
- Cerys LlewellynJust under ten. Right. That's better. Still a long way from forty, mind.
- Marcus BellIt is. But the direction matters more than the level at this stage. And look at who's asking. It's not one or two people any more, it's spread across the account managers.
- Cerys LlewellynThat was the point of the session. Once they saw their own operators come up, they got it. One of them asked it about a leisure group that had gone quiet on us, and it pulled together the tickets, the renewal date and the last few conversations. She said it saved her most of a morning.
- Marcus BellThat's exactly the use I'd want. Is she the one who's asking the most?
- Cerys LlewellynShe's up there. But there are three or four now. I've been nudging them, I'll admit it. I put a question of the week in our team channel.
- Marcus BellHa, that's smart. Does it work?
- Cerys LlewellynBetter than I expected. People like showing off a good answer. Though I'll be honest, there are still a few who haven't logged in at all.
- Marcus BellThat's normal. I wouldn't chase them yet. Let the people who are getting value pull the others in. Tickets, by the way, still nothing. No tickets in the last month and nothing urgent. All the connectors are loading and the data's fresh.
- Cerys LlewellynGood. I'd rather it was boring on that front.
- Marcus BellBoring's what we're after. Now, what would help you most over the next couple of months? I've got ideas, but you know your team.
- Cerys LlewellynTwo things. One, I want to write down how we use it, properly. Which questions, which views, who looks at what. At the moment too much of it is in my head, and I don't love that.
- Marcus BellHappy to help with that. I can pull the most common questions your team's asked and you can shape them into something they'll actually read. Shall we book half an hour to go through it together?
- Cerys LlewellynPlease. That'd be great. And two, the dashboards. A couple of my people want a single view of upcoming renewals by operator. Is that something they can build themselves on Growth?
- Marcus BellYes, the dashboards builder is part of Growth. I can sit with whoever wants to build it, and we'll do it on your real data so it's not a toy.
- Cerys LlewellynPerfect. Let's start with the team who'll use it again, same group as before. I'll find out who's keen.
- Marcus BellRight. On the renewal, just so it's on the table: the contract runs to 24 Jul 2026, renewal date 25 Jul 2026, and you're at £48,500 a year. I'll send the formal notice well ahead of that, and Tom Ashdown will come to you on the commercial side. I'm not the one to talk price, I'm afraid, but I'll make sure he has the usage story.
- Cerys LlewellynThat's fine. And honestly, with the numbers going the right way, it's an easier conversation than it was in January. I'd like to get ahead of it, though, rather than leave it until June.
- Marcus BellAgreed. I'll let Tom know you'd like to talk early. Is there anything that would make you hesitate?
- Cerys LlewellynOnly that I want usage to keep climbing, so I've got something solid to show. Not worried, just keen. Let's keep that going.
- Marcus BellGood. So, what I'll send: a usage summary for the month, the list of common questions, and a few slots for the dashboard session. You'll check with your people on who wants to build.
- Cerys LlewellynYes, I'll do that by the end of the week. Thanks, Marcus, this was a good one.
- Marcus BellCheers Cerys. Speak soon.
- Cerys LlewellynDiolch, Marcus. Bye.
