What this says
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026Anya Petrova ran the brain on Kenmure's sample extract. Shona Baird saw enough to take it to Robert Lindsay. Alan Rennie would stop his monthly manual reconciliation. Nightly refresh was accepted.
What happened: Anya showed a customer page, a chat answer on open faults with booked installs, repeat faults and a live dashboard. The empty owner field matched the unowned hospitality fault.
Customer view: Shona said two of the results she would have missed and that she wanted to take it to Robert. Alan said he does the circuit mismatch check by hand once a month and would stop.
Commercial: Shona said price is Robert's. Tom said he would speak to Robert directly, send the written breakdown with implementation shown separately, and kept the target of 14 Aug 2025. No figure was quoted on this call.
Watch: Anya was clear that the refresh is nightly and the helpdesk stays the live view. Shona accepted that. SSO at Enterprise goes to the security review, where Alan offered help.

Next steps
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026- Tom Ashdown to speak to Robert Lindsay and send the written breakdown with implementation shown separately.
- Anya Petrova to send a note of what was covered, including circuit mismatch and refresh timing.
- Alan Rennie to send a short list of real questions for Anya to run on the sample.
Risks
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026- Robert Lindsay was not on the demo and still has to be convinced on cost and value.
- Nightly refresh means no intraday visibility, which could disappoint if expectations drift.
Opportunities
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026- Enterprise tier with SSO and the security review, supported by Alan Rennie.
- Dashboards and circuit mismatch checks give a concrete value case to put to Robert Lindsay.
Transcript
- Tom AshdownMorning, Shona. How's the week treating you?
- Shona BairdMorning. Worst fault this week is a business park in Dundee where an install date keeps slipping and the customer's rung three times. So I'm hoping today's useful.
- Tom AshdownWell, that's exactly the sort of thing Anya's going to try. Anya, do you want to say hello?
- Anya PetrovaHello, everyone. Anya, I'm the solutions engineer. I'll share my screen in a second. Is Alan with us?
- Shona BairdHe's just finding the link. He'll be a minute.
- Alan RennieSorry, sorry. Wrong calendar entry. Hello. Can you hear me?
- Anya PetrovaYes, perfectly. Thanks for the sample extract, Alan, it was tidy and it made things much easier. Let me start by showing you what we built from it.
- Anya PetrovaSo, this is the brain, running on the sample you sent. What you're looking at is one page for one business customer. At the top, the circuits, then open faults, then the provisioning status, and underneath, the bills. All of it in one place.
- Shona BairdHang on, go back. Where's that fault status coming from?
- Anya PetrovaFrom the helpdesk records in the extract. Each line on the page links to the source record, so you can see where it came from and when it was last refreshed.
- Shona BairdGood. Because I'm not trusting a number I can't trace. Who's got the fault? Is that on there?
- Anya PetrovaIt is, the owner field is carried over. And where it's empty, it says so, which is a bit uncomfortable in a demo, but I'd rather show you honestly.
- Shona BairdHa. That's the hospitality problem in one line. Nobody's name against it.
- Tom AshdownIt's always the blank ones that tell you something.
- Anya PetrovaNow I'll use the chat. I'll type a plain question: which business customers have an open fault and an install booked this month? Give it a moment.
- Anya PetrovaThere. A short list, each with the fault, the install date and the account manager. Shona, does that look like the right sort of answer?
- Shona BairdIt does. Aye. Two of those I'd have missed. Can it do it the other way round, which customers have had repeat faults?
- Anya PetrovaYes. Let me try it.
- Anya PetrovaSo that groups them by customer and shows the faults over time. You can ask follow-ups. For example, which of those also have a bill query open.
- Alan RennieCan I ask about that one? On the billing side, we have a lot of lines where the circuit on the invoice doesn't match the circuit in provisioning. Would that show up here?
- Anya PetrovaIt can, if both sources are connected and the circuit identifier is consistent. In your sample it mostly is. Where it isn't, the brain flags it as a mismatch rather than guessing. I'll show you.
- Alan RennieThat's useful. Today I do that by hand in a spreadsheet, once a month. If I could ask for mismatches whenever I like, I'd stop.
- Tom AshdownThat's the thing we hear a lot, Alan. People spending the first week of the month reconciling.
- Alan RenniePrecisely that. What about freshness? When is the data updated?
- Anya PetrovaThere's a nightly refresh, complete by 07:00 on business days. So the account managers start the morning with yesterday's position, not last month's.
- Shona BairdAnd during the day? If a fault's logged at ten, is that visible at eleven?
- Anya PetrovaNot in the brain, no. It's a nightly refresh, so it would show the next morning. The helpdesk remains the live view. I'd rather say that now than have you find out later.
- Shona BairdRight. That's all right. Let's not make this complicated, the account managers need the whole story, not the second-by-second one.
- Anya PetrovaLast bit from me. Dashboards. If you've a question you ask every Monday, you can save it as a dashboard. I'll build one live: faults by customer, with install dates.
- Anya PetrovaAnd that's it. Saved, shareable with the team. Anyone with access can open it.
- Shona BairdHow would the account managers get in? Another login?
- Anya PetrovaAt Enterprise there's single sign-on, so they'd use what they already use. Your security team would look at that in the review.
- Alan RennieI'd be happy to help with that review, if it falls to me. I know where the data sits.
- Tom AshdownThat would help a lot, Alan. Thanks. I'll make sure Anya's in touch.
- Shona BairdI've seen enough to want to take it to Robert. Tom, what does he need from you?
- Tom AshdownI'll speak to him directly about the commercials, Shona, you don't need to carry that. He's got the working figure already and I'll send him the written breakdown properly, with the implementation shown separately. Our target is still Thursday 14 August 2025, but there's no rush from us.
- Shona BairdGood. I don't discuss price anyway, that's Robert's.
- Anya PetrovaFrom my side, I'll send over a short note of what we covered and the questions Alan raised, especially the circuit mismatch and the refresh timing. If you can think of a couple more real questions you'd ask, send them over and I'll run them on the sample.
- Alan RennieI will. I'll compile a short list this week.
- Tom AshdownBrilliant. Leave the rest with me, I'll get something in the diary with Robert. Thanks, all. Cheers.
- Shona BairdCheers, Tom. Thanks, Anya. Thanks, Alan.
- Anya PetrovaThank you, everyone. Bye for now.
