Lindsay's dashboard was showing individual incidents instead of aggregating them by week into a line chart. Bethan began investigating whether this is a limitation or configuration issue.

Problem: when grouping incidents by week, the dashboard displayed individual incidents rather than aggregating into a line chart. Handling: Bethan initiated troubleshooting to determine whether this was a UI limitation or configuration issue. The extended resolution time suggests this required investigation beyond standard guidance.

Hi, I'm trying to create a dashboard that shows incident trends over time, but I'm hitting some issues with the visualization. Are there any best practices or examples I could look at?

Hi Lindsay, thanks for getting in touch. Just so I've got this right, you're building a dashboard with incident data over time and something isn't working as expected. Can you tell me what you're seeing? I can take a look and work through this with you. Speak soon, Bethan

Thanks Bethan, yes that's the issue. When I try to group incidents by week, the dates aren't aggregating properly. I'd expected a line chart but it's showing individual incidents instead. Let me know if there's a workaround or if this is a known limitation.
