Current to 13 Oct 26Shona requested read-only access for the service desk team to view customer data without edit permissions. Bethan recommended a viewer role with connector restrictions, which Shona successfully deployed.
Problem: Service desk team needed read-only access to customer data and call history for troubleshooting without edit permissions. Handling: Bethan recommended a viewer role through user management, providing read access with role-based connector filtering. Shona set up test accounts and confirmed the permissions worked. She will brief the team on usage. This shows expanding adoption across the customer organisation.

We don't want them making changes though. What permission level should we grant them so they can read the data but not edit anything?
- public_reply · Bethan Lister 24 Jun 2026 18:30Hi Shona, set them up with a custom viewer role in the user management section, that gives read access without edit permissions. You can restrict which connectors they see as well. Can you try setting up a test user with that role and let me know if it gives the access you need? Thanks, Bethan
