Current to 12 Oct 26Installer records duplicated with minor spelling and formatting variations. Bethan reviewed examples and identified root cause in source data matching.
Problem: Same installer companies appeared multiple times with variations (extra spaces, abbreviations), confusing account managers tracking installer relationships. Root cause: Regional uploads mixed formal company registration names with shortened versions. Handling: Bethan asked for examples, Femke provided a list, and Bethan committed to identifying the pattern and offering merge or matching-rule options. Status: Ticket solved within six days. Watch: Data quality issues in regional data ingestion need consolidation strategy before more installers are added.

The same installer company appears multiple times with minor spelling or formatting differences, one might have an extra space or a different abbreviation. When the account managers are looking at their installer relationships, they see what looks like different entries for the same company. Can we run a data cleanup to deduplicate these? Cheers, Femke
- public_reply · Bethan Lister 12 Feb 2026 09:28Hi Femke, just so I've got this right, you're seeing the same installer name with variations, like one with an extra space or a different abbreviation? That could definitely confuse the team. Can you send me a few examples so I can check if it's a source system issue or something in our matching logic? Thanks, Bethan
- public_reply · Femke van Gestel 12 Feb 2026 11:53Bethan, exactly. I'll send you some examples in a list. It's mostly installers from our different regions, some were uploaded with formal company registration names, others with shortened versions. A dozen or so pairs. What is the plan to clean this up?
- public_reply · Bethan Lister 12 Feb 2026 13:58Thanks, Femke. I'll review your list and identify the pattern in your source data. Once I understand the issue, we can merge those records or set up a matching rule. I'll get back to you with options. Thanks, Bethan
