As at Fri 9 Oct 2026Customer reported duplicate records for clients appearing in the brain after a manual connector refresh. Bethan Lister investigated the deduplication issue.
Problem: Dan Hosken noticed duplicate entries for the same clients with different IDs after running a manual refresh of the main data connector. Handling: Bethan Lister asked whether the source system contained actual duplicate records or if duplication was occurring only in the brain, to determine whether the issue was in the connector or the brain itself. Outcome: No resolution documented in the ticket content provided.

- created · Dan Hosken 21 Oct 2025 15:32We've noticed duplicate records appearing for a number of our clients in the brain. They show up in searches with the same underlying data, same client name and contact details but different IDs. We're getting two records where there should be one. This started after we ran a manual refresh of our main data connector yesterday. Can you help us understand what's gone wrong?

That sounds like a deduplication issue. Can you check something for us: in your source system, are there actually two records with the same client name and email, or is it only appearing twice in the brain? That'll help me figure out if we need to clean this up on the connector side or in the brain itself. Let me know what you find. Thanks, Bethan
