Current to 13 Oct 26Deepa reports that account names display inconsistently in search: some show full company names, others show abbreviated versions for the same account. Connor identifies that the name field maps to two different sources depending on branch assignment.
Problem: Inconsistent account name display in search results confuses branch teams trying to match their queries.
Handling: Connor investigated the field mapping and discovered that the account name field pulls from two sources depending on branch: the CRM short name for some, the full legal name for others. He identified this as a mapping quirk from initial setup and proposed standardizing to always show the full legal name.
Watch: Inconsistent data presentation degrades user confidence. Standardization improves data quality and search usability.

When we look up an account, the name field sometimes shows the full company name and sometimes shows an abbreviated version, even for the same account. It's making it harder for the branch teams to match what they typed. Can you take a look? Thanks, Deepa.
- internal_note · Connor Webb 20 Nov 2025 13:05Checked the field mapping. The display pulls from two sources depending on the account's branch assignment, the CRM short name for some branches, the full legal name for others. This is a mapping quirk from initial setup, not a bug in the brain itself. Will propose standardisation to Deepa.
- public_reply · Connor Webb 20 Nov 2025 13:09Thanks for reporting that. I've checked your configuration and found the root cause: the account name field is pulling from two different sources depending on which branch the account is linked to. This is a remnant from the initial setup and we can fix it. We'll standardise it to always show the full legal name, which should clear things up for the teams. I'll get that pushed through and let you know once it's live. Cheers, Connor.
