What this says
Current to 11 Oct 26Dashboard date filters over one month return incomplete historical results; all records view shows correct data. Bug reproduced in dashboard builder aggregation logic. Took 22 days to solve.
Problem: Bas Vermeulen reported filtering by date range over one month returned fewer records than expected on dashboards, though the all records view showed the complete set. Issue was in the dashboard builder, not the underlying data.
Handling: Bethan Lister reproduced the bug and identified it in the dashboard builder's aggregation logic. First response was 277 minutes. Felix Dorran (Senior Platform Engineer) was engaged to investigate the code.
Watch: This low-priority bug took 22 days to solve (created 24 Sep 2025, solved 16 Oct 2025). The feature directly impacts how customers analyse their data, making slow turnaround risky for active users.

- public_reply · Bas Vermeulen 24 Sep 2025 09:27Hi, I'm seeing something odd with date filters on our dashboards. I'll send you a proper report in a few hours. Bas
- created · Bas Vermeulen 24 Sep 2025 13:06We've found a bug when filtering dashboard results by date range. When we select more than a month, some historical data disappears. Is this a known issue? Bas
- public_reply · Bethan Lister 24 Sep 2025 15:22I've picked this up. Just so I've got this right: when you filter a dashboard by more than one month's date range, some historical records don't show. Can you try the same filter in the All records view and tell me what you see? That'll help me work out if it's the dashboard builder or something else. Thanks, Bethan
- public_reply · Bethan Lister 24 Sep 2025 17:43Can you also tell me which date range you tried and how many records you expected to see compared to what actually showed? A screenshot of the filtered view would be really helpful. Thanks, Bethan
- public_reply · Bas Vermeulen 25 Sep 2025 12:19I filtered from June to August and expected several thousand records, but far fewer appeared. The All records view shows the complete set, so it's definitely the dashboard filter. Screenshot attached. Bas
- internal_note · Bethan Lister 25 Sep 2025 14:37Reproduced: dashboard date filter returns incomplete results when range exceeds one month. All records view works correctly. Issue is in the dashboard builder's aggregation logic. Need Felix to investigate the code.
