As at Fri 9 Oct 2026Mostly scheduling: Morag Cowie accepted a one-to-one proposal walk-through on Thursday and asked that the proposal show clearly how brokers would be viewed together, firm by firm.
Ask: Tom Ashdown wanted a half-hour walk-through of the draft proposal before sending it. Morag replied after a delay, citing broker firms chasing about turnaround times.
Customer view: She wants the first session with Tom alone and will decide who else attends afterwards. The firm-by-firm view is the part she expects to be questioned on.
Next: Tom confirmed Thursday and promised to put the firm-by-firm view near the front of the proposal.

- Tom Ashdown 8 May 2026 14:22Hi Morag, Thanks for your time on the call. It was good to hear how the business development managers actually work through their broker lists, and it has shaped how I'm putting the proposal together. The draft is nearly there. Before I send it over I'd like to walk you through it rather than just fire off a document, so you can tell me where it misses the mark. I'd also like you to have it in a form you can take to your own executive without having to translate it. Could we get something in the diary early next week? Half an hour should do it. If anyone else from your side should be there, such as someone from member services, let me know and I'll make sure the walk-through covers what they care about. No drama if next week is tight. Tell me what suits and I'll work around you. Cheers, Tom
- Morag Cowie 11 May 2026 15:49Hi Tom, Sorry for the slow reply, it's been a week of broker firms chasing us about turnaround times and I've been in the thick of it. A walk-through would be useful. Tomorrow afternoon is no good for me, but Wednesday after lunch or any time on Thursday would work. I'd like to keep it to just the two of us first. Once I've seen it I'll decide who else needs to be in the room, and I'd rather not bring colleagues in until I know what I'm asking them to look at. Can you make sure the proposal is clear on how the brokers would be viewed together, firm by firm? That is the bit I'll be asked about. Let's not overcomplicate it. Kind regards, Morag On 8 May 2026, at 14:22, Tom Ashdown wrote: > Could we get something in the diary early next week? Half an hour > should do it.
- Tom Ashdown 11 May 2026 16:36Morag, Thursday it is, just the two of us. I'll send an invite shortly with a time for you to accept or move, whichever suits. Understood on the firm-by-firm view. I'll put that near the front so you're not hunting for it, and keep the rest plain. Leave that with me. Cheers, Tom
