Current to 11 Oct 26After the expansion proposal went out, CFO Mats Eklund asked for total cost, one-off against recurring, and the return before he discusses it with the board. Tom Ashdown promised a one-page summary in the new year.
Ask: Tom sent the expansion proposal under the existing Enterprise agreement. Mats replied that he needs the finance view and wants figures before any conversation.
Customer view: Mats is a gatekeeper who will take it to the board. He leaves usage to Karin Sjöberg and wants a return he can set against the cost.
Next: Tom owes a one-page summary, and Karin was asked for examples of questions her teams ask the brain. Karin's reply is not in the thread.

- Tom Ashdown 18 Dec 2025 15:31Hi Karin, hi Mats, Thanks for making the time earlier this week. I hope the run up to Christmas is treating you both kindly. As promised, here is the proposal for the expansion we talked through. It sits under your existing Enterprise agreement, so nothing about the way the brain runs inside your Snowflake account changes. The point of it is to give the teams that are already asking questions a bit more room, particularly with customer service, e-commerce and store feedback now feeding the same view. I have kept it short. If you want the detail behind any line, say the word and I will walk you through it. Could you each let me know if anything in it needs changing before we take it further in the new year? No drama if the answer is that it needs a rethink, I would rather hear it now. Cheers, Tom
- Mats Eklund 22 Dec 2025 17:02Tom, I have read the proposal. Before I can discuss it with the board I need the numbers set out plainly: what the expansion costs in total, what is one-off and what recurs. And what is the return? Karin can speak to usage. I need the finance view. Please send the figures first. We can talk after. Mats Eklund, CFO
- Tom Ashdown 22 Dec 2025 17:28Mats, understood, and thanks for the quick read. I will put together a one-page summary that separates the one-off from the recurring and ties it to the contract you already hold, so you are not working out the arithmetic yourself. I want to confirm each figure against our records before it goes to you, so leave that with me and you will have it in the new year. Karin, it would be really useful if you could jot down two or three examples of questions your teams have been asking the brain lately. That gives Mats something concrete to set against the cost.
