Current to 10 Oct 26Tom Ashdown offered Douglas Baird a discovery call. Douglas chose Thursday at 10:00, will bring a member services colleague, and said the call is exploratory and he cannot speak for the group's position.
Ask: Tom proposed a no-slides discovery call on member queries and trustee calls, after Daniel said Douglas wanted to talk again. Douglas accepted the Thursday 10:00 slot within about two hours.
Customer view: Douglas is open but guarded. He is bringing a member services colleague and states plainly that he cannot speak for the group's position.
Next: Prepare for the member services pain points, and do not treat the call as a buying signal. The thread does not show whether the call was held.

- Tom Ashdown 28 Sep 2026 16:25Hello Douglas, Tom Ashdown here, one of the account executives at BB-Demo. Daniel mentioned you'd like to talk again, and I'd be glad to pick that up with you. I'd suggest a discovery call, just to hear where things stand with member queries and trustee calls and what you'd want from us. No slides, no drama. Could you do Thursday at 10:00, or Friday at 14:00? If neither works, let me know what does and I'll make it fit. Best, Tom
- Douglas Baird 28 Sep 2026 18:31Dear Tom, Thank you for your note, and for moving so promptly. Thursday at 10:00 would suit me well. I will invite one of my colleagues from the member services side, as I think she will be better placed than I am to describe the day-to-day difficulty. I should be clear in advance that this is an exploratory conversation, and that the group's position is not something I can speak for. Kind regards, Douglas Baird
