Current to 10 Oct 26Liam Doherty is broadly in favour of the Growth proposal and has sent the one-off versus annual split to his finance director. He is waiting for her view and wants examples where an early warning changed an outcome.
Ask: Liam wants depot managers on proper logins, a view on whether delivery-exception data can feed a dashboard, and a plain one-pager separating implementation from subscription. Tom answers the dashboard question and supplies the split.
Customer view: Liam supports it but the finance director is wary of added cost without a clear case. He will lean on the exception-ticket value.
Next: Tom aims to wrap up around 18 Nov 2024 and Marcus is to run a depot session.

- Tom Ashdown 16 Oct 2024 11:45Hi Liam, Hope your week's going alright. Thanks for making time on the call, really useful to hear how the depot account managers are getting on with the brain. As promised, I've attached the proposal for moving you up from Starter to Growth. The short version of what we talked about: - More users, so the depot managers who've been borrowing a login can have their own. You're on fifteen at the moment and that's clearly tight. - More connectors, so the delivery-exception tickets and the call recordings can sit alongside everything else without anyone having to choose. - The dashboards builder, which I think is the piece your team will get most out of for spotting retail contracts that are wobbling. - Quarterly reviews with Marcus rather than the six-monthly check-in. The total in the proposal includes the one-off implementation fee, so have a look at the breakdown on the second page before anyone in finance reads it as an annual number. I'll confirm the exact figures with you properly when we speak, I don't want you working from my memory of it. If it helps, I'd like to get something in the diary for you and me to go through it before it goes any further inside Brackwell. We're pencilled for the middle of November on our side, but no drama if your timing is different. Cheers, Tom
- Liam Doherty 21 Oct 2024 08:43Tom, Thanks for this, love that it's all in one place. Read it over the weekend. A few things: - The extra users make sense. Two of the depot managers have been sharing a login and I don't love it. Can we get the depots on it properly? That's the whole point, one view. - On the dashboards, can you tell me whether the delivery-exception data can feed one directly or whether we'd need to build it ourselves first? - My finance director will want to see what's one-off and what recurs. Can you send a one-pager that separates the implementation from the annual subscription? Keep it plain. I'm broadly in favour. I just need to be able to walk it through without tripping over anything. Cheers, Liam
- Tom Ashdown 22 Oct 2024 14:46Hi Liam, Good to hear, and fair questions. On the dashboards: the delivery-exception tickets will already be in the brain, so you can build straight off them without a separate data job. Marcus can show your team how to put the first one together in a session, and I'll ask him to get in touch with you directly about timing. On the one-pager: leave that with me. I'll split it into the one-off implementation fee and the annual subscription, and I'll check every figure against the order paperwork before it goes to you, so your finance director gets numbers I've actually confirmed rather than my recollection. One thing worth knowing now: the paperwork assumes we're aiming to wrap this up around 18 Nov 2024, ahead of your current term ending. That gives us a bit of breathing room, but not loads. I'll get the one-pager over to you in the next day or two. Cheers, Tom
- Liam Doherty 24 Oct 2024 12:34Tom, Got the one-pager, thanks. That's exactly what I needed. Split is clear and I've forwarded it to our finance director with a note saying it's a total including set-up, not a yearly price. I'll come back to you once I've had her view. I don't expect any trouble, she's mostly worried about us adding more cost without a clear case, so I'll lean on the exception-ticket side of things. If you've got a couple of examples of contracts where an early warning changed the outcome, that would help. Can you and Marcus do a session with the depot managers once we're through the paperwork? Keen to get them moving. Cheers, Liam
