Second demo with Mick Rhodes. He asked about customer-facing access, which Growth does not offer, accepted nightly refresh and an eight-week go-live, and will take the contracts to Carole and Ricky.

What happened: Mick Rhodes raised questions from Ricky's team: real-time delivery stage tracking, customer access and refresh frequency. Tobias Renwick said the brain can join the stages across systems.

Customer view: Customers cannot log in on Growth, and Mick asked what happens if they upgrade later. Tom Ashdown said the move would be to Enterprise, with no rush.

Commercial: Mick accepted nightly refresh and the one-hour urgent response on Growth. Go-live is eight weeks from kickoff, and kickoff would be the week after signing.

Watch: Mick will send the material to Carole and Ricky and then talk the following week. The evidence does not show the contract signed on this call.

Follow-up

Next steps

As at Fri 9 Oct 2026
  • Tom Ashdown to send the contracts and security spec that week.
  • Mick Rhodes to share the material with Carole and Ricky and come back the following week.

Risks

As at Fri 9 Oct 2026
  • Growth is internal only, so the wish for customers to see their own status is not met at this tier.
  • Sign-off still depends on Carole and Ricky being aligned and on legal and IT review.

Opportunities

As at Fri 9 Oct 2026
  • Enterprise upgrade for external customer access, which Mick raised unprompted.
  • Faster refresh on a specific connector was mentioned as possible, at added complexity.

    Mick, Tobias, how's things?
  2. Mick Rhodes
    Mick Rhodes
Good, mate. Thanks for another call. I've had some questions come up since last time.
  3. Tom Ashdown
    Tom Ashdown
    Go on.
  4. Mick Rhodes
    Mick Rhodes
So Ricky's team was asking about dashboards, specifically, can they track which customers are in which stage of the delivery process in real time? Like, we've got orders, goods in, goods loaded, delivery in progress, delivered. That's all in different systems. Can the brain join that up?
  5. Tobias Renwick
    Tobias Renwick
Yes, to be precise. We'd build connectors to your WMS, your CRM, and your logistics partner's tracking system if you have one. Then we create a page that shows every customer, their order, the current stage, and the expected delivery date. All in one view.
  6. Mick Rhodes
    Mick Rhodes
That's exactly what we need. Who do we need to coordinate that with?
  7. Tom Ashdown
    Tom Ashdown
You give us credentials for each system, and we do the rest. If your logistics partner's system needs an API connection, we'll guide you through asking them for it. No drama.
  8. Mick Rhodes
    Mick Rhodes
Okay. What about if we want to let customers see their own status? Can they log into the brain?
  9. Tobias Renwick
    Tobias Renwick
The honest answer is not in Growth. Enterprise customers can do that. Growth is internal only: your team queries it, builds dashboards, but you're not sharing it outside yet.
  10. Mick Rhodes
    Mick Rhodes
Fair enough. What if we upgrade later?
  11. Tom Ashdown
    Tom Ashdown
Simple, you'd move to Enterprise, get more users, more connectors, and external access. But there's no rush. You can always do that in a year or two when you've got more data flowing through.
  12. Mick Rhodes
    Mick Rhodes
Alright. Another question, you said nightly refresh on the data. What if something critical happens during the day and I need to know immediately?
  13. Tobias Renwick
    Tobias Renwick
To be precise, nightly is the default. But the trade-off is it's simple and reliable. If you really need something more frequent: say, a specific connector refreshing every four hours, we can probably arrange that, but it adds complexity. Most customers find nightly is right for their use case.
  14. Mick Rhodes
    Mick Rhodes
I think nightly is fine for us. We're not that real-time a business.
  15. Tom Ashdown
    Tom Ashdown
Good. Okay, another thing, you'll have quarterly QBRs with me. That's a check-in to see what you've learned, what's working, what's not, and whether you need to add more stuff or change what you're doing.
  16. Mick Rhodes
    Mick Rhodes
That sounds good. Do I need to be prepared for those, or do you come with a deck?
  17. Tom Ashdown
    Tom Ashdown
I'll come with ideas based on your usage, but really I want to hear from you. We'll look at how many questions you're asking, who's using it the most, what dashboard you've built, what could be next. It's informal.
  18. Mick Rhodes
    Mick Rhodes
    Alright.
  19. Tobias Renwick
    Tobias Renwick
One more thing, when we set up your connectors, we'll do it in a test environment first. You'll see the data flowing, we'll check it's right, then we flip it to production. That way there's no risk of anything breaking your live systems.
  20. Mick Rhodes
    Mick Rhodes
That's reassuring. And you're live after that?
  21. Tobias Renwick
    Tobias Renwick
Eight weeks end to end, so yeah, you'd be live on week eight. The first week is setup, weeks two to seven are connectors, data validation, training, and a week of testing. Then you're live.
  22. Mick Rhodes
    Mick Rhodes
When can we start if we sign the contract next week?
  23. Tom Ashdown
    Tom Ashdown
Week after. So if you sign week of, say, the ninth, we'd kick off the week of the sixteenth.
  24. Mick Rhodes
    Mick Rhodes
So live would be early December?
  25. Tom Ashdown
    Tom Ashdown
Yeah, roughly. Could be late November if everything runs smooth.
  26. Mick Rhodes
    Mick Rhodes
Okay. That timing works for us. Anything else I should know?
  27. Tom Ashdown
    Tom Ashdown
Support. You're on Growth, so you get one-hour response on anything urgent. We're not twenty-four-seven, but we cover eight till eight, UK time.
  28. Mick Rhodes
    Mick Rhodes
    That's fine.
  29. Tobias Renwick
    Tobias Renwick
And if your data team wants to get under the hood, write SQL queries, build custom tables, we can give you access to your Snowflake account to do that. You own your data.
  30. Mick Rhodes
    Mick Rhodes
Our tech team will love that.
  31. Tom Ashdown
    Tom Ashdown
Right. So the next step is you get the contracts from me this week. Security spec as well. You run those past legal and IT, and if there's anything, you ping me. If it's all good, you sign and we get a kickoff call in the diary.
  32. Mick Rhodes
    Mick Rhodes
    Perfect.
  33. Tom Ashdown
    Tom Ashdown
    Cheers, Mick. Tobias, anything else?
  34. Tobias Renwick
    Tobias Renwick
I think that covers it. Happy to answer questions if they come up.
  35. Mick Rhodes
    Mick Rhodes
Good. I'll send this to Carole and Ricky, make sure they're aligned, and then we'll chat next week.
  36. Tom Ashdown
    Tom Ashdown
    Brilliant. Speak soon, Mick.
  37. Mick Rhodes
    Mick Rhodes
    Cheers, Tom. Cheers, Tobias.
  38. Tobias Renwick
    Tobias Renwick
    Bye, Mick.
