What this says
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026On the 31 Aug 2023 discovery call, Gilberdyke Freight described bookings, shipment and warehouse data spread across systems. Tom Ashdown pitched Growth at £12k implementation plus £44k a year. Mick Rhodes asked to see a proposal.
What happened: Mick Rhodes and Carole Ellerker described a TMS, separate warehouse software and spreadsheets, with no single view. Carole said invoicing from that data is manual and error-prone.
Customer view: Mick liked the idea of one real-time view of what is moving, in stock and owed. Carole asked about users, cost and implementation length, and Mick asked what value to expect.
Commercial: Tom positioned Growth, with forty users and eight connectors. He quoted £12k implementation over eight weeks and £44k a year, which Carole summed as fifty-six for year one.
Watch: Tom's value answer was general and gave no figure. Carole is a finance director and will test the cost against value.

Transcript
- Tom AshdownHi Mick and Carole. How's the week been treating you?
- Mick RhodesYeah, not too bad. Busy as usual. Thanks for finding time to talk.
- Carole EllerkerMorning.
- Tom AshdownSo look, I want to understand your operations a bit better and talk through how we could help with data. We've got about 45 minutes. Sound okay?
- Mick RhodesYeah, go for it.
- Tom AshdownGreat. So Mick, tell me, what are your main headaches right now? You're a haulage and warehouse operation from the Humber?
- Mick RhodesThat's right. We move containers and general haulage from the ports, and we've got warehousing. The challenge we face is we've got a lot of bookings coming in, shipment data, warehouse inventory, all in different places. Makes planning really difficult.
- Tom AshdownDifferent systems?
- Mick RhodesYeah. We've got our TMS, the transport management system, then separate warehouse software, spreadsheets for ad-hoc tracking. No one system has the full picture.
- Carole EllerkerAnd from a financial side, we invoice based on all that data, so it's manual and error-prone. We're always chasing numbers.
- Tom AshdownSo you'd want to connect the TMS, the warehouse software, maybe your accounting system, and be able to ask questions across all of it?
- Mick RhodesExactly. Real-time view of what's moving, what's in stock, what we're owed.
- Tom AshdownThat's what the brain does. It sits on top of your systems and your Snowflake account, and it lets you ask questions one time and get one answer across everything.
- Carole EllerkerHow many people would be able to use it?
- Tom AshdownOn Growth, which I think makes sense for you, it's forty users. You could bring in ops people, planning, finance, whoever needs access.
- Mick RhodesAnd we could connect our three main systems?
- Tom AshdownOn Growth you get eight connectors, so yes, TMS, warehouse, accounting, plus a few more if you need them later.
- Carole EllerkerWhat's the cost structure?
- Tom AshdownImplementation is twelve thousand. Eight weeks to get you up and running. Then the subscription is forty-four thousand a year.
- Carole EllerkerSo fifty-six first year?
- Tom AshdownThat's it. Fifty-six, implementation included.
- Mick RhodesWhat kind of value could we expect? Like, is this going to save us money?
- Tom AshdownHonestly, it depends on what you do with it. But typical customers reduce invoice time because they're not manually reconciling, and they catch billing errors earlier. Some find optimisation opportunities in their supply chain they didn't see before.
- Carole EllerkerHow long is the implementation?
- Tom AshdownEight weeks. We handle the connectors, you don't have to lift a finger. Then it's quarterly check-ins once you're live.
- Mick RhodesI like the sound of this. What do we do next?
- Tom AshdownI'll send over a proposal and we can get you a demo once you've had a think about it. And if you've got any security questions, we can address those.
- Carole EllerkerSounds fair. Send it over.
- Tom AshdownCheers, both. Speak soon.
