What this says
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026On 20 Mar 2025 Marcus Bell and Priya Raman set out a Starter renewal at £20k, annual in advance. CFO Clive Wardle said the value is there and would clear it with finance. Tina Goddard's request for longer-term price flexibility was declined.
What happened: Marcus Bell and Priya Raman took Clive Wardle and Tina Goddard through the Starter renewal on 20 Mar 2025. Priya quoted the Starter list price of £20k, annual in advance, same terms as before.
Customer view: Clive said the value is there and that he would check with Tina and the finance team before signing off. Tina asked whether a longer commitment would earn flexibility on price.
Commercial: Priya said discounts are for the first term only, so no flexibility on renewals, and pointed to Growth as the route to a different conversation. Marcus kept the Growth upgrade on the agenda through quarterly check-ins.
Watch: sign-off still depended on finance, and the call does not show the order form being signed. Priya committed to send it by the end of the week.

Transcript
- Marcus BellHi Clive, thanks for making time. So Wellbrook's contract's up at the end of April, and we wanted to check in about the renewal. I've got Priya here from our sales team as well. Priya, shall I run through where we've got to?
- Priya RamanPlease, yeah.
- Marcus BellSo you've been live since May last year. I've pulled the usage data. You're on Starter at 15 users. What's been really encouraging is that adoption's been growing, we've seen a steady increase in the number of people using the brain month on month. Your contract managers are querying client tickets and invoices together, you're not jumping between systems any more.
- Clive WardleGood to hear. What does that mean for the renewal?
- Priya RamanSo you're going to renew at the Starter list price. You came in at a discount first time round: the list is £19,500 and you're paying that this year. Annual, in advance, same terms as before. Then you renew again at the end of next April.
- Tina GoddardHas anything changed in the offering?
- Marcus BellNot for Starter. You've still got 15 users, four connectors, nightly refresh. If you grow, new teams, more users, you could move to Growth at any point. That'd give you 40 users, eight connectors, dashboards builder. But Starter's doing a good job for you.
- Clive WardleAnd renewal terms, anything different?
- Priya RamanSame commitment, one year, paid upfront. Renewal notice is ninety days, so we'd be in touch with you in early February about the next one.
- Tina GoddardIs there any flexibility on price if we commit to something longer?
- Priya RamanNot on renewals, I'm afraid. Discounts are for first term only. But if you were thinking about upgrading, moving to Growth, that might change the conversation. Let's not get ahead of ourselves though. Are you happy to renew at £19,500?
- Clive WardleYeah, I think so. The value is there. I'll check with Tina and our finance team and we can sign off.
- Priya RamanPerfect. I'll get an order form over. Once you've signed it, you're good to go. We'll invoice you at the start of May.
- Marcus BellAnd I'll keep doing quarterly check-ins with you. If you want to talk about moving to Growth or adding users, that's a separate conversation but it's worth staying on the agenda.
- Clive WardleThanks, both. That's clear.
- Priya RamanBrilliant. Order form by end of the week. Cheers, Clive.
