Onboarding call on 30 Jan 2026. Tyler and Spencer asked how Salesforce and Google Workspace connectors behave, then built a Dispatch Board page with Laura and said they can take it from here.

What happened: Laura Penhaligon answered two connector questions, then built a Dispatch Board page live with Spencer Gaunt and Tyler Brookes. Both were given edit permissions.

Customer view: Spencer called the cross-connector page "quite useful actually". Tyler said they could take it from there, which shows early self-sufficiency.

Commercial: The dispatch use case sits on the connectors already live and the pages feature, so it deepens adoption ahead of the first renewal. The call raises no price, rival or contract point.

Watch: Tyler expected calls attached directly to accounts, so the search-based model needs setting out clearly. Laura promised an updated guide, and Esther is the named fallback for page problems.

Right, Tyler, Spencer, good to see you again. How are you getting on with the brain?
  2. Spencer Gaunt
    Spencer Gaunt
Pretty well actually. Tyler's been exploring things. Just got a question about something.
  3. Tyler Brookes
    Tyler Brookes
Yeah, the Salesforce connector. It's loading accounts okay, but I'm not seeing call recordings directly attached to them. Is that how it's supposed to work?
  4. Laura Penhaligon
    Laura Penhaligon
So the brain doesn't attach calls to accounts directly. What it does is index them separately. When you search the brain, it matches the keywords across both: so if you search for an account name, you'll get the account record and any calls mentioning that account. It's not a direct link in the database, it's search-based matching.
  5. Tyler Brookes
    Tyler Brookes
Ah okay, so I'm not doing anything wrong?
  6. Laura Penhaligon
    Laura Penhaligon
No, you're all good. That's just how the brain works, everything's searchable, not relational. Let me show you. I'll search for a customer name and you'll see Salesforce records and call mentions come back together.
  7. Spencer Gaunt
    Spencer Gaunt
    That makes sense.
  8. Tyler Brookes
    Tyler Brookes
Okay. One more thing, the Google Workspace connector. It's indexing emails, yeah?
  9. Laura Penhaligon
    Laura Penhaligon
Yep. Email subject lines, content, attachments if they're text-based. Nightly refresh pulls any new emails. But we don't index emails from personal accounts, only your company domain.
  10. Spencer Gaunt
    Spencer Gaunt
What if we want to see emails from outside people, like, customers?
  11. Laura Penhaligon
    Laura Penhaligon
You can still search them, they're in the index. What I mean is, we don't index emails from addresses outside your domain. But replies from customers are there, because they're on threads with your team. So you'd see the conversation, not just your side.
  12. Tyler Brookes
    Tyler Brookes
    Right. That works.
  13. Laura Penhaligon
    Laura Penhaligon
I'll update the guide I sent with a bit more detail on how the search works across the connectors. That'll make it clearer for your team.
  14. Spencer Gaunt
    Spencer Gaunt
Have you got time to walk through building a page?
  15. Laura Penhaligon
    Laura Penhaligon
Absolutely. What would you want on it?
  16. Spencer Gaunt
    Spencer Gaunt
Something for dispatch: recent exceptions, which customers they're for, maybe a count of unresolved ones.
  17. Laura Penhaligon
    Laura Penhaligon
Good. So I'll go into Pages, create a new one. You name it, say 'Dispatch Board'. Then you drag widgets in from the left. There's a 'Recent items' widget, a 'Search results' widget, and a 'Metrics' widget which can count things. You configure each one with a search query.
  18. Tyler Brookes
    Tyler Brookes
Do we have to write the search ourselves, or can you help us?
  19. Laura Penhaligon
    Laura Penhaligon
I'll help you get the first couple done, and then it's pretty clear. You start with something simple, like 'exceptions from last week', and the widget shows results. You can filter, sort, all of that visually. No code.
  20. Spencer Gaunt
    Spencer Gaunt
    Okay, let's try it now.
  21. Laura Penhaligon
    Laura Penhaligon
Right. So I'm in Pages now. I'll create a new page, call it 'Dispatch Board'. Now I'm dragging in a 'Recent items' widget. I'll search for 'exceptions from this week'.
  22. Tyler Brookes
    Tyler Brookes
And that pulls from all the connectors?
  23. Laura Penhaligon
    Laura Penhaligon
Yep. It searches Salesforce exceptions, call recordings mentioning exceptions, anything in Xero flagged as an exception. All together on one page.
  24. Spencer Gaunt
    Spencer Gaunt
That's quite useful actually. Can we add another widget?
  25. Laura Penhaligon
    Laura Penhaligon
Sure. I'll add a Metrics widget that counts unresolved exceptions. You can set that to refresh nightly with the rest of the data.
  26. Tyler Brookes
    Tyler Brookes
    When does that update?
  27. Laura Penhaligon
    Laura Penhaligon
The page itself updates nightly at seven. So every morning, dispatch comes in and the board is fresh. You'll see the latest exceptions and a count of open ones.
  28. Spencer Gaunt
    Spencer Gaunt
Perfect. Can Tyler and I edit this ourselves now?
  29. Laura Penhaligon
    Laura Penhaligon
Yep. You've got edit permissions, so you can tweak it, add more widgets, change the searches. If something breaks or you're not sure, reach out to Esther and she'll sort it.
  30. Tyler Brookes
    Tyler Brookes
Nice. I reckon we can take it from here.
  31. Laura Penhaligon
    Laura Penhaligon
Brilliant. I'll send you a how-to guide on page building. Anything else before we wrap?
  32. Spencer Gaunt
    Spencer Gaunt
No, I think that's it. Cheers, Laura.
  33. Laura Penhaligon
    Laura Penhaligon
    Cheers both. Get building.
