What this says
Current to 12 Oct 26Renewal call about six weeks before the mid-August term end. Tom Ashdown quoted £22k against £20k. Pauline Metcalfe called it steeper than hoped, asked for the quote, and will review. Sandbox add-on raised by Darren.
What happened: Marcus Bell opened the 8 Jul 2026 renewal call with usage, then Tom Ashdown walked through the price. Starter moves from £20k to £22k, described by Tom as about a 12 per cent increase.
Customer view: Darren Blakey called it a solid year with steady usage and no real issues. Pauline Metcalfe, the Finance Director, said the increase was a bit steeper than she had hoped and asked whether the product had changed that much.
Commercial: Tom committed to send the quote that day and aim for signature by the end of July, ahead of the mid-August term end. Pauline said they would review and get back to BB-Demo. The evidence does not show the outcome.
Watch: Darren showed interest in the Sandbox, which Marcus said is included in Enterprise and can be added to Starter as an add-on. Pauline said she wanted to think about that. Value, not payment, is the question to answer.

- Marcus Bell NoneHi all. Good to see everyone. So we're about six weeks out from your renewal, contract ends mid-August again. I thought we'd get together, see how the last year's gone, and then Tom can walk through the renewal terms.
- Darren Blakey NoneYeah, it's been a solid year for us. Usage is steady, no real issues.
- Marcus Bell NoneThat's good to hear. Active users are fairly consistent, questions up a touch. The credit-query use case you mentioned last year is really embedded now.
- Tom Ashdown NoneGreat. So Pauline, what I wanted to flag is we've updated our pricing structure this year. Doesn't affect you in a major way, but you'll see a slight increase compared to last year. Nothing dramatic.
- Pauline Metcalfe NoneOK. How much of an increase are we talking about?
- Tom Ashdown NoneSo last year you were at £19,500. This year on Starter it's £22,000. It's about a 12 per cent increase, in line with the rest of the market and the extra features we've added.
- Tracey Bainbridge NoneAnd that's annual?
- Tom Ashdown NoneYes, annual. Same contract terms as before, twelve months, runs from mid-August.
- Pauline Metcalfe NoneOK. That's a bit steeper than I'd hoped for. Has the product changed that much?
- Marcus Bell NoneWe've added quite a bit. Premium support is now available, there's a Sandbox environment if you want to test changes safely, and we've expanded data-residency options. You probably won't use all of those, but they're there if you need them.
- Darren Blakey NoneThe Sandbox could be useful actually, means we could test stuff before it hits production.
- Marcus Bell NoneExactly. It's included in Enterprise, but we can add it as an add-on for you if you want it.
- Pauline Metcalfe NoneLet me think about that. But the base renewal, can you send us the quote?
- Tom Ashdown NoneI'll send it over today. We'll aim to get it signed by the end of July so everything's in place before the 19th. Does that work?
- Pauline Metcalfe NoneYeah, that should be fine. We'll review and get back to you.
- Tom Ashdown NoneCheers. I'll get that quote in your inbox this afternoon.
