What this says
Current to 11 Oct 26Demo of the brain over Linthorpe's CRM, call recordings and finance system. Starter was quoted at £25k for implementation plus year one, then £20k a year. Darren asked for a written proposal.
What happened: Tom Ashdown and Hannah Lowe showed Darren Blakey and Liam Corner a demo built on their CRM, calls and finance data. Liam checked the Snowflake set-up and the nightly refresh.
Customer view: Darren engaged with the joined-up query and asked about price and growth. Liam had no further questions and was comfortable with the architecture.
Commercial: Starter with 15 users was quoted at £25k including implementation and the first year, then £20k a year. Growth was mentioned only as a later step, and a proposal was promised by the end of the week.
Watch: no finance contact joined this call, and the evidence does not show how £25k was built up from the list prices. Nothing was agreed beyond receiving the proposal.

Next steps
Current to 9 Oct 26- Tom Ashdown to send the written proposal with price, terms and implementation timeline by the end of that week.
Risks
Current to 9 Oct 26- No finance contact was on the call, so price approval had not yet been tested.
- Nothing was committed beyond receiving a proposal, with close only hoped for by early August.
Opportunities
Current to 9 Oct 26- The spare fourth connector could take email or HR data later.
- Growth was raised by Darren as the route to more users and connectors.
Transcript
- Tom Ashdown NoneHi Darren, hi Liam, thanks for making time for this. How's the week going?
- Darren Blakey NoneGood, mate, busy as usual. You?
- Tom Ashdown NoneNot bad, not bad. Look, I'm really looking forward to showing you the brain. We've got Hannah here, she's our solutions engineer, and she's going to walk you through what we built on your data. Just to set the scene, we've got you talking to your CRM, your call recordings, and your finance system. And the brain sits over the top and lets you ask a question and get an answer straight away instead of toggling between systems. Hannah, do you want to take it from here?
- Hannah Lowe NoneSure. Hi both. So what I've built here is a demo environment with your CRM data, your call recordings, and some sample records from your finance system. The idea is you can see how you'd actually use it in practice. Liam, you're the systems person, is the architecture we discussed okay? Three systems connected, all sitting inside a Snowflake instance?
- Liam Corner NoneYeah, that all looks right. I had a look at the docs you sent. It's pretty clear how it works. Snowflake instance, that's inside our own cloud account?
- Hannah Lowe NoneThat's right. The brain runs inside your Snowflake account. You own all the data, you control the access, we just maintain the product. So let me show you an example query. Say Darren wants to know, trade accounts that have had support calls in the last thirty days. Instead of going into the CRM, then the call system, then your finance records, he just asks the brain.
- Darren Blakey NoneAnd it joins it all up automatically?
- Hannah Lowe NoneThat's the short answer. The longer answer is we've mapped your three systems and we know how they relate: so account in the CRM matches to the account in your finance system, and we can pull call recordings by account. You ask the brain a question and it stitches the answer together. So you'd get: trade account names, their contact, recent calls, and their current balance, all in one place.
- Liam Corner NoneAnd how often does that data refresh?
- Hannah Lowe NoneEvery night. Nightly refresh, complete by 07:00 your local time on business days. So you'd have fresh data for the morning.
- Tom Ashdown NoneWhat I'd add is, that data freshness matters because you're a wholesale business. Stock queries, credit queries, all of that moves fast. Having yesterday's data ready for the morning is the whole point.
- Darren Blakey NoneRight, yeah. That makes sense. And the four connectors you mentioned: that's CRM, calls, and finance, what's the fourth?
- Hannah Lowe NoneThat's a spare. You get four connectors included. If you wanted to add email or your HR system down the line, you'd have capacity.
- Tom Ashdown NoneSo the package we're looking at, Starter tier, 15 users: you'd have two main admins, probably Liam and Darren, and thirteen others who can ask questions and see the dashboards. And the price for implementation and first-year subscription would be 24,525.
- Darren Blakey NoneThat includes the implementation and the first year subscription?
- Tom Ashdown NoneThat's right. Implementation's about four weeks: we'll work with you to set up the connectors, test everything, train the team. Then it's the Starter subscription, which renews annually.
- Liam Corner NoneAnd what's the annual subscription on its own?
- Hannah Lowe NoneStarter's 19,500 a year. The implementation is separate.
- Tom Ashdown NoneSo next year, you'd be renewing at 19,500. The 24,525 this year includes both the setup and the first year.
- Darren Blakey NoneOkay. And if we wanted to move to more users or more systems down the line?
- Tom Ashdown NoneThat's Growth. Same sort of idea, but 40 users instead of 15, eight connectors instead of four, and you get some more powerful tools for reporting. But let's not run before we can walk, let's get you comfortable with Starter first and see where you are in a year's time.
- Liam Corner NoneMakes sense. So what happens next?
- Tom Ashdown NoneGood question. Let's get you a proposal with all this in writing: price, terms, the implementation timeline. You have a think about it, let me know if you've got questions, and we can look to close this off by early August. How does that sound?
- Darren Blakey NoneYeah, that works for us. Send the proposal over and we'll have a look.
- Tom Ashdown NoneBrilliant. I'll get that to you by end of the week. Any other questions for Hannah or me?
- Liam Corner NoneNot from me, no. Cheers.
- Hannah Lowe NoneThanks both. Good to meet you. I'll be here if anything technical comes up.
- Tom Ashdown NoneCheers, everyone. Speak soon.
