What this says
Current to 11 Oct 26Demo on 24 Oct 2024 for Growth tier. Aisha Bukhari wants traceable turnaround figures; Ryan Heslop wants warehouse safety and freshness. Governance is the gate for the 8 Nov 2024 decision date.
What happened: Hannah Lowe demoed the brain on Kingdon's sample extracts, covering turnaround, tickets, invoices and the dashboards builder. Aisha and Ryan Heslop each put one clear question first.
Customer view: Aisha cares that every figure traces to its source and is never overstated. Ryan wants a readable, changeable rule for tickets with no trust field, and a clear answer on radiology extracts.
Commercial: Tom Ashdown said the opportunity is down as the Growth tier at £54k, implementation included. He is looking at Friday 8 November 2024 for a decision, and Aisha needs the annual and one-off split for the finance director.
Watch: Aisha said timing depends mostly on governance. Hannah owes a written architecture note and Ryan owes a sample extract and a connector priority list.

- Tom Ashdown sends the proposal with the annual and one-off split.
- Ryan Heslop sends a sample extract and the connector priority list.
Risks
Current to 9 Oct 26- Governance sign-off by Kingdon's governance lead could slip the 8 Nov 2024 decision date.
- Tickets without the trust field and extract-only radiology data may complicate connector scope and data quality.
Opportunities
Current to 9 Oct 26- Growth tier with the dashboards builder gives each contract manager a standing page per trust.
- A written, readable mapping rule and visible data age address the stated freshness and trust concerns.
Transcript
- Tom Ashdown NoneAfternoon, everyone. Can you all see the screen? Aisha, I think you're muted, we can see you but not hear you.
- Aisha Bukhari NoneSorry, afternoon. Yes, I can hear you. Ryan's just joining as well, he's had a meeting overrun.
- Ryan Heslop NoneHello, sorry, I'm here. Apologies for being a minute behind.
- Tom Ashdown NoneNo bother at all. Right, this is Hannah, our solutions engineer, she'll drive today. I'll mostly stay out of the way and let her do the clever stuff. Hannah, over to you.
- Hannah Lowe NoneThanks, Tom. Hello both. Before I share anything, what do you most need to know from the next forty minutes or so? I'd rather aim at that than walk you round every screen.
- Aisha Bukhari NoneFor me, it's whether a contract manager can pick a trust and see referrals, turnaround tickets and invoices together, and whether the figures hold up. Let's see the turnaround figures, really.
- Ryan Heslop NoneMine is how it connects and how fresh it is. And what it does to our data warehouse. I don't want something that makes a mess of what I've built.
- Hannah Lowe NoneGood, that's two clear questions. The short answer on the second is that it's built inside your own Snowflake account, so it sits alongside what you've built rather than replacing it. The longer answer is that I'll show you where it lives in a moment, and I'll put the detail in writing afterwards.
- Ryan Heslop NoneOkay. That's what I was hoping.
- Hannah Lowe NoneRight, let me share. You should see a search box and a list of pages. This is built from the sample extracts Aisha's team sent over, so the trusts you see are yours, with the patient level detail left out as agreed.
- Aisha Bukhari NoneYes, that's the extract, good. I can see the trust names. That looks right.
- Hannah Lowe NoneSo, an example. If I ask it, which reports for this trust went past the agreed turnaround last month, it comes back with a count, the sites involved, and links through to the tickets behind it.
- Aisha Bukhari NoneMm. Can you click into one of those? I'd want to know the ticket is the real ticket, not a summary of one.
- Hannah Lowe NoneYes. That opens the ticket as it sits in the helpdesk, so the source stays visible. To be precise, the brain doesn't replace the record, it points you back to it.
- Aisha Bukhari NoneThat matters. If I'm in a trust meeting I need to be able to say where a figure came from.
- Tom Ashdown NoneThat's one of the things we hear a lot, Aisha. Sorry, Hannah, carry on.
- Hannah Lowe NoneNo, that's fine. Now let me put invoices alongside. If I ask for this trust's invoices and any disputes, you get the invoices from the accounting system, and I can ask whether the disputes line up with the slow turnaround months.
- Aisha Bukhari NoneOh, that's the one that takes us half a day. Can it really do that on its own?
- Hannah Lowe NoneOn this extract, yes, though I'd be careful, because it's only as good as the fields that are populated. If a ticket isn't tagged to a trust, it can't attach it. That's usually a data hygiene thing we sort out in the first weeks.
- Ryan Heslop NoneThat'll be an issue for us. A fair few tickets get raised without the trust field filled in. We tend to work it out from the sender.
- Hannah Lowe NoneRight, so the short answer is we can map from the sender, and the longer answer is we'd agree the rule with you so it's written down and not guessed. Would that suit?
- Ryan Heslop NoneYes, if it's a rule I can read and change, that's fine.
- Hannah Lowe NoneIt would be. Let me show you the dashboards builder, because that's part of Growth. This is where your contract managers could build a view per trust and keep it, so they're not asking the same question every month.
- Aisha Bukhari NoneSo I could have a standing page for each trust with turnaround, tickets and invoices on it.
- Hannah Lowe NoneExactly that. And you'd ask follow-ups in chat from that page.
- Ryan Heslop NoneHow often does it refresh? Because if the page is out of date on the morning of a meeting, that's worse than no page.
- Hannah Lowe NoneFair challenge. It refreshes overnight and the aim is that it's complete by seven each morning on business days. If a source fails, say an extract doesn't arrive, it shows the age of the data on the page, so nobody is misled.
- Aisha Bukhari NoneThat's the bit I like. Never overstating it. If it says the data is a day old, I can say so to the trust.
- Ryan Heslop NoneAnd the radiology system. We only get extracts out of it. How does that work?
- Hannah Lowe NoneTom flagged that. So, an extract dropped into a folder on a schedule is perfectly workable. It's slower than a live connection, but it's reliable, and the page will tell you when the last drop landed. I'd want to see a sample of the file before I commit to a connector, so I'll put that in writing as a question for you.
- Ryan Heslop NoneI can send you a sample, with the identifiers stripped.
- Hannah Lowe NoneThanks, that would help a lot.
- Aisha Bukhari NoneCan I ask about governance? Who can see what? Because the contract managers should see their own trusts, and I don't want one manager browsing another's commercial terms.
- Hannah Lowe NoneYou can restrict by group, so a manager sees the trusts they're responsible for. I'd want to confirm exactly how that's configured for your setup rather than give you a loose answer now. I'll put that in the written note, and if there's anything I'm not sure of I'll check with our security lead before I send it.
- Aisha Bukhari NoneThat's all I'd ask. No surprises for the trust.
- Tom Ashdown NoneCan I jump in on the commercial side, just so we're all on the same page? We've still got this down as the Growth tier, and the deal value as it stands is fifty-three thousand eight hundred pounds, implementation included. I'll confirm that in the proposal, and I'll split the annual part from the one-off so it's clear.
- Aisha Bukhari NoneThank you. I'll need that split for the finance director, so the sooner the better.
- Tom Ashdown NoneLeave that with me. Still looking at Friday 8 November 2024 for a decision, if the rest falls into place, but we'll go at your pace.
- Aisha Bukhari NoneIt's tight but not impossible. It depends on governance, mostly.
- Hannah Lowe NoneThen let me make that easy. I'll send a short architecture note with a diagram, covering where the data sits, who can see it and how the refresh works, so your governance lead has something to read before any meeting.
- Aisha Bukhari NoneThat would be ideal. Thank you, Hannah.
- Ryan Heslop NoneAnd I'll send the sample extract. Is there anything else you need from my side?
- Hannah Lowe NoneA list of the systems you'd want connected first, in the order that matters to you. That's the best way for me to size the connector work.
- Ryan Heslop NoneWill do. Referrals, tickets, invoices, in that order, I'd say, but I'll check with Aisha.
- Tom Ashdown NoneBrilliant. So Hannah sends the note, Ryan sends the sample and the list, I send the proposal. Let's get a follow-up in the diary for after Aisha's had a word with the governance lead.
- Aisha Bukhari NoneYes, let's do that. Thanks, all, that was genuinely helpful. Best wishes.
- Hannah Lowe NoneThanks, everyone. Speak soon.
