What this says
Current to 11 Oct 26Claire Chevalier described manual reporting across point-of-sale, e-commerce, inventory and CRM systems. Tom Ashdown pitched Growth; she called his proposed signing date tight and said she would check with her team.
What happened: Tom Ashdown ran a first discovery call with Claire Chevalier, Head of Client Services. He positioned Growth tier with eight weeks of implementation, forty users and a first-year price of sixty-two thousand.
Customer view: Claire's pain is visibility across stores, online and inventory, with leadership reports out of date by the time they are built. She said the proposition "would be really valuable" but gave no commitment.
Commercial: Claire called the proposed signing date tight because of summer trading and asked for a later close. Tom held to his date, so timing is the open point.
Watch: Only Claire was on the call and she wants to consult her team. The evidence does not show whether a proposal, demo or order form followed.

- Tom Ashdown NoneHi Claire, how are you doing?
- Claire Chevalier NoneHi Tom. Good, thanks. How's your week been?
- Tom Ashdown NoneNot bad, can't complain. So I'm looking forward to understanding Maison Vercourt a bit better. Tell me about the business.
- Claire Chevalier NoneRight. So we're a kitchenware retailer, we've got physical stores across France and we also run an online shop. So we've got store operations, we've got e-commerce, and we've got a fairly complex supply chain.
- Tom Ashdown NoneOkay, so you're managing inventory across stores and online. What systems are you running?
- Claire Chevalier NoneWe've got a point-of-sale system for the stores. We've got an e-commerce platform for online. We've got an inventory management system. And we've got a CRM for customer relationships and marketing.
- Tom Ashdown NoneAnd what's the challenge with that setup?
- Claire Chevalier NoneThe challenge is visibility. If I want to know how many units we sold across all channels last week, or what our top-selling products are, I've got to pull data from the POS system and the e-commerce platform and the inventory system. It's manual work. And if a customer calls with a question about their order history or their loyalty account, we're logging into multiple systems to find the answer.
- Tom Ashdown NoneSo it's slow and a bit error-prone.
- Claire Chevalier NoneExactly. And for leadership reporting, it's worse. By the time we pull together a sales report for the month, it's outdated. We can't react quickly to trends.
- Tom Ashdown NoneThat's where BB-Demo comes in. We sit on top of all four systems and create one queryable layer. Your leadership can ask 'What are my top products this month?' and get an instant answer. Your customer service team can see a customer's full history: stores, online, loyalty, in one place.
- Claire Chevalier NoneThat would be really valuable for us. How long would implementation take?
- Tom Ashdown NoneFor what I think you need, Growth tier, that's eight weeks. We come in, we build the connectors, we configure it for your business, we train your team. Eight weeks, you're live.
- Claire Chevalier NoneAnd how many people can use it?
- Tom Ashdown NoneGrowth covers forty users, so probably your customer service team, your store managers if they need visibility, your marketing team, your leadership. Plenty of headroom.
- Claire Chevalier NoneWhat about cost?
- Tom Ashdown NoneFor Growth, we're at sixty-two thousand for the first year, all-in. That includes the eight weeks, the training, everything.
- Claire Chevalier NoneOkay. And what's the commitment after year one?
- Tom Ashdown NoneYou renew at the standard Growth rate. If you've added users or connectors and want to expand, we'd talk about that. But you're not locked in: if you want to downsize or upgrade, we adjust.
- Claire Chevalier NoneThat makes sense. So what's next?
- Tom Ashdown NoneI'll send you a proposal: full scope, timeline, pricing. You review it, and if you're interested, we can set up a demo where I walk through it with your data. Then we'd move toward an order form.
- Claire Chevalier NoneWhat's your timeline for close?
- Tom Ashdown NoneIf you want to move, I'd like to see something signed by mid-July. That gives us the rest of the summer to implement, and you're live by September. Sound reasonable?
- Claire Chevalier NoneJuly might be tight, we're ramping for summer trading. How about August?
- Tom Ashdown NoneAugust is tricky for us, lot of people on holiday. If you could do mid-July, we'd work around the holidays and still get you live in September. That's really the sweet spot.
- Claire Chevalier NoneOkay. Let me check with my team. Send the proposal over and we'll take it from there.
- Tom Ashdown NoneWill do. I'll get that to you this week. Cheers, Claire.
- Claire Chevalier NoneThanks, Tom. Cheers.
