Onboarding call for Skovdal Software on 13 Feb 2025. Credentials work, four systems are connected, the field mapping is agreed with one empty CRM field excluded, and a test refresh is planned for next week.

What happened: Mads Mortensen sent read-only credentials for four systems and Callie Brennan confirmed data was flowing. She walked through the mapping and the customer chose to exclude the mostly empty internal_notes CRM field.

Customer view: Ida Mortensen and Mads were brief and content. Ida summed it up as no drama.

Watch: The four systems named here are CRM, ticketing, usage logs and accounting. The kickoff named Salesforce, email, calls and Zendesk, and the evidence does not show why the list changed.

Next: A test refresh is planned for next week, then a Thursday check call and the live refresh.

Follow-up

Next steps

Current to 9 Oct 26
  • Callie Brennan runs the first test refresh next week.

  • Callie Brennan confirms with Ida which four connectors Skovdal Software wants live.

Risks

Current to 9 Oct 26
  • The four systems named differ from the kickoff list, so email and call data may not be in scope.
  • The test refresh has not yet run, so data quality is unproven.

Morning you two. How's it going? Have you got the credentials to me?
  2. Mads Mortensen
    Mads Mortensen None
Yeah, I sent them yesterday. All four systems, read-only access as requested.
  3. Callie Brennan
    Callie Brennan None
Perfect. I've tested them all and they're working. All four systems, CRM, ticketing, usage logs, accounting, are connected and data's flowing. Good news.
  4. Ida Mortensen
    Ida Mortensen None
    That was quick.
  5. Callie Brennan

Yeah, you've been organised. So what I've done this week is gone through your schemas. I've pulled the field names from each system and built a mapping document. I'm going to walk you through it now, and then we'll confirm it's right before we switch on the refresh. Sound good?
  6. Mads Mortensen
    Mads Mortensen None
    Yeah.
  7. Callie Brennan

So, CRM. You've got customers, contacts, opportunities, and some custom fields. The main ones map cleanly: customer ID, customer name, that all lines up. One thing I flagged: you've got a field called 'internal_notes' in your CRM, but it's not populated for most records. I can exclude it, or we can include it knowing it's mostly empty. What would you prefer?
  8. Mads Mortensen
    Mads Mortensen None
Exclude it. No point pulling empty data.
  9. Callie Brennan

Good call. Ticketing system, this one maps really cleanly. Ticket ID, customer reference, priority, status, all good. No odd fields. Usage logs, same story. Nice clean schemas. Accounting, again, fine. Invoice ID, customer, amount, date. All standard.
  10. Ida Mortensen
    Ida Mortensen None
    So basically, no drama?
  11. Callie Brennan
    Callie Brennan None
That's right. Just the one field to exclude from the CRM. Otherwise, everything maps cleanly. So I'm happy to press go on the refresh test.
  12. Mads Mortensen
    Mads Mortensen None
    Great.

So next week I'm going to run the first test refresh. I'll pull all the data from all four systems, land it in Snowflake, and watch it. If there are any hiccups: a system times out, a field doesn't come through, I'll catch it and fix it. But I'm confident this one's clean.

    What's 'not clean' look like?
  15. Callie Brennan
    Callie Brennan None
Usually it's a weird data type: say you've got a date field that contains numbers, or a number field that's got text in it. Or a connector that doesn't authenticate, which usually means your IT gave me the wrong cred. That causes the whole refresh to fail. But I'd catch it and we'd fix it.
  16. Mads Mortensen
    Mads Mortensen None
    How long does fixing take?
  17. Callie Brennan
    Callie Brennan None
Usually a day or two. I identify the issue, we sort it with you or your IT, and we retry. Once it works, we're gold.
  18. Ida Mortensen
    Ida Mortensen None
Okay. And the next call with you?
  19. Callie Brennan
    Callie Brennan None
I'll send a calendar invite for Thursday next week. That's after I've done the test refresh and confirmed everything's working. We'll do a quick call just to say 'all looks good, we're ready for the real refresh'. Then the following week, we do the live refresh, and that's the go-live.
  20. Mads Mortensen
    Mads Mortensen None
    Sounds good.
  21. Callie Brennan
    Callie Brennan None
    Perfect. Any questions?
  22. Ida Mortensen
    Ida Mortensen None
    I don't think so.
  23. Callie Brennan
    Callie Brennan None
Great. I'll send the calendar invite today, and I'll be in touch if anything pops up in the test refresh. Cheers both.
