What this says
Current to 11 Oct 26Ida Mortensen, Head of Client Services, described five to ten minute manual lookups across CRM, usage and billing. She was receptive to the brain and agreed to introduce Mads and the IT team ahead of a demo in early December.
What happened: Tom Ashdown ran a discovery call with Ida Mortensen at Skovdal Software, a booking software vendor serving clinics in the Nordics. Ida described the pain of answering a single customer question across separate CRM, usage and billing systems.
Customer view: Three people in support, plus Mads on operations, dig for data by hand. Ida said faster answers would let the team spend time on complex support issues.
Commercial: Tom quoted a four week setup, which matches the Starter implementation. No tier, price or contract was discussed, and the evidence does not show who else would buy.
Watch: Ida agreed to sort out the IT introduction via Mads. Access to IT is the next gate before a demo.

Next steps
Current to 9 Oct 26- Tom Ashdown to book a demo for early December and request the IT introduction via Mads.
- Ida Mortensen to send Mads's email and connect Tom to the IT team.
Risks
Current to 9 Oct 26- The evidence does not show who holds budget or signs; Ida is a client services lead, not a named buyer.
- The demo depends on access to Skovdal's IT team, which has not yet been arranged.
Opportunities
Current to 9 Oct 26- A new customer with a clear lookup pain across CRM, usage and billing, a fit for the company brain.
- A small support team of three plus an operations analyst suggests a Starter-sized first deployment.
Transcript
- Tom Ashdown NoneHi Ida, good to chat with you. Thanks for making time. Before we get started, I'd like to understand a bit more about Skovdal, what you do, and where the pain is that you're trying to solve.
- Ida Mortensen NoneSure. So we're a booking software vendor. We work with clinics, mostly private, across the Nordics. Our software lets clinics manage appointments, patient records, billing, all in one place.
- Tom Ashdown NoneRight. And what's the challenge you're facing?
- Ida Mortensen NoneSo when a clinic customer calls in, they often want to know something about their account. Like how many appointments we did last month, what's the total patient count, what did we charge them. And we can't instantly see their history: support tickets, usage, payment status. We have to go dig for it.
- Tom Ashdown NoneSo you're juggling multiple systems to answer a single question?
- Ida Mortensen NoneExactly. CRM has account info, usage data is in a separate system, billing is elsewhere. A customer calls and it takes five, ten minutes to get a complete answer.
- Tom Ashdown NoneAnd how many people on your support team are dealing with this?
- Ida Mortensen NoneThree of us, plus Mads on the operations side who pulls data sometimes.
- Tom Ashdown NoneRight. So if you could answer those questions faster, what would change?
- Ida Mortensen NoneWe'd be a lot more responsive to customers. And our team could spend more time on complex support issues instead of just answering lookups.
- Tom Ashdown NoneThat makes sense. So what we do at BB-Demo is build a data layer over all your systems. CRM, tickets, usage, billing, whatever you've got. You can then ask the brain a question in plain English and get an instant answer.
- Ida Mortensen NoneSo like, a customer calls asking about their usage, and I could just ask the brain?
- Tom Ashdown NoneExactly. Say they call asking how many patients they've had, you ask the brain something like 'what's the patient count for this customer', and it pulls it for you. No manual lookups.
- Ida Mortensen NoneThat would be useful. How would the setup work?
- Tom Ashdown NoneFour weeks. We'd connect your systems, map the data, run the first data load, train your team. Then it's live and you can start asking questions.
- Ida Mortensen NoneOkay. What's next?
- Tom Ashdown NoneI'd say let's book a demo, probably a couple of weeks from now, early December. And I'll need you to connect me to your IT team so we can talk through the systems you've got and what we'd be connecting.
- Ida Mortensen NoneI'll sort that out. Let me get you Mads's email, he's our operations person.
- Tom Ashdown NonePerfect. I'll set up the demo and we'll go from there.
