What happened
What this says
Current to 13 Oct 26Bulk import from legacy system created duplicate entries for each candidate with different application dates and status values. Took 14 days to investigate and close.
Problem: Bulk import created two entries per candidate with different application dates and status values, requiring manual deduplication.
Handling: Olivia asked for examples to check import logs. Shannon provided a list of ten duplicates. Investigation suggested the import ran twice but required manual review to identify which copies to keep.
Watch: Data quality issue from migration. Customer unable to auto-deduplicate on import, requiring manual intervention.

- created · Shannon Lockwood 10 Mar 2026 08:37We have a batch of candidate records that are duplicated in the system, two entries for each person with different application dates. This happened after we bulk-imported from our old system last week. Can these be cleaned up?
- public_reply · Olivia Grant 10 Mar 2026 11:01Hi Shannon, this sounds like the import ran twice. Can you let me know a few examples of the duplicate names so I can check the import logs? Once I confirm what happened, I can help you identify which duplicates to remove. Thanks, Olivia
- public_reply · Shannon Lockwood 12 Mar 2026 14:19I've sent you a list of ten candidates with duplicates. Some have different status values too, so I need to pick which copy to keep.
