Calum reported searches for records from earlier months took much longer than searches for current week data. Bethan explained that larger date ranges require more data scans and asked for record count to check for actual issues.

Problem: Searches across older data took significantly longer than recent searches. Handling: Bethan explained this is expected behaviour due to larger data volumes being scanned and asked for the record count to check whether there is an actual performance issue. Watch: The customer did not follow up, suggesting the explanation was sufficient.

When I search for older records from last month, the brain takes a long time to return results. Searches for this week are instant but the older ones hang. Is this normal?

Hi Calum, thanks for reporting this. Searching across a larger date range does take longer because there's more data to scan. This is normal, but if it's taking more than a minute or so, let me know. Can you tell me roughly how many records you're searching across? That'll help me check if there's a performance issue. Thanks, Bethan

Data as of Fri 9 Oct 2026. Text marked AI was written by the brain from the records listed in its made-from link; an AI output that cannot cite its evidence is refused and the previous text kept. Where two systems disagree (for example a contract and the CRM), the key facts show both values and mark the difference.
