Current to 11 Oct 26Zoe Kendrick reported search function failing in Safari across all dashboards but working in Chrome. Connor Webb identified Safari's tracking prevention as the cause and provided a workaround to add the domain to privacy exceptions.
Problem: Search boxes were unresponsive in Safari but not Chrome, affecting the claims team's daily workflow. Handling: Connor asked diagnostic questions to confirm it was dashboard-wide and affecting multiple users, then identified the root cause as Safari's tracking prevention blocking the search component. The fix was straightforward: add the domain to Safari's privacy exceptions. Watch: This is a low-priority issue resolved within expected timeframes; no further action needed.

- created · Zoe Kendrick 26 Nov 2024 16:33Hi, I'm trying to search records in our dashboards but nothing happens when I click the search box in Safari. I've tried clearing my browser cache and using a different Mac, but it's still not responding. The claims team needs this to work as they search for cases throughout the day. Can you help? Thanks, Zoe
- public_reply · Connor Webb 27 Nov 2024 06:59Hi Zoe, thanks for reporting this. Quick question: is this affecting all dashboards or just specific ones? And are any colleagues seeing the same issue?
- public_reply · Zoe Kendrick 27 Nov 2024 13:07Connor, it looks like all our dashboards, and yes, a couple of colleagues have mentioned the same thing. Works fine in Chrome, so it's just Safari.
- public_reply · Connor Webb 27 Nov 2024 15:11Thanks Zoe. I've identified the issue: Safari's tracking prevention is blocking our search component. The fix is straightforward: add our domain to Safari's privacy exceptions in settings. I'll send you the steps separately. Let me know once you've tried it. Cheers, Connor
