Fiona reported duplicate records appearing in query results, some with different field values (e.g., client vs employer contact details). Duplicates are from the CRM and affect dozens of records.

Problem: Query results contained duplicate records for the same people with different field values, undermining reporting accuracy. Fiona identified a few dozen affected records.

Handling: Connor asked which connector was affected and requested examples. Fiona confirmed all duplicates are from the CRM and demonstrated that they represent the same person with different contact details captured in separate records. The ticket was marked solved on 25 Sep 2025.

Watch: CRM data quality issues (duplicates) are affecting Fiona's trust in results. As Head of Scheme Relationships (senior stakeholder), her concerns may influence other team members' confidence in the brain.

Hi, I've been running some queries to check our scheme data and I'm seeing duplicate records coming back for the same members. Some of them have slightly different data in the fields, which is making it hard to trust the results. Have you come across this before? Can you help us clean this up?

Hi Fiona, thanks for reporting this. Duplicates can happen if a record gets indexed twice from the same source, usually after a data sync. Can you tell me which connector or connectors the duplicates are coming from, and can you paste an example of a duplicated record so I can see the difference in the fields? Connor

They're coming from the CRM. I've attached a couple of examples: you'll see that one has the client contact details and the other has the employer details, so they're clearly the same person even though the data is different. It's only affecting a few dozen records, but it's enough to cause problems in our reporting.
