Current to 12 Oct 26Zendesk connector inactive for days; API key lost access after permission change. Niamh Fogarty regenerated key with read permissions.
Problem: Zendesk connector showed no new records for several days despite appearing active in the UI. Root cause: Permission change at Zendesk revoked the API key's access to tickets table. Handling: Olivia pulled sync logs, found the permission error, and instructed Niamh to regenerate the key with full ticket-read access. Timeline: 15 days from ticket open to solve status. Watch: Third-party permission changes can silently break connectors; consider automated monitoring and customer alerting.

- created · Niamh Fogarty 21 Sep 2026 11:55Hi, Our Zendesk connector has stopped pulling new data. It hasn't synced in several days. I've checked that our API credentials are still valid and the connection hasn't changed. Can you look into this? Thanks, Niamh
- public_reply · Niamh Fogarty 21 Sep 2026 14:51Actually, looking more closely, the last sync was a few days ago and there's been nothing since. The connector still shows as 'active' in the UI though. Niamh
- public_reply · Olivia Grant 21 Sep 2026 15:26Hi Niamh, I can see the connector is listed as active, but you're right, there are no new records indexed since the last sync. Let me pull the sync logs. Olivia
- public_reply · Olivia Grant 21 Sep 2026 15:31I found the issue. Your Zendesk instance had a permission change and the API key we're using no longer has access to the tickets table. You'll need to regenerate the API key in Zendesk with full ticket-read permissions and update it in the connector settings. Can you try that? Olivia
