Regional Orders Summary dashboard filter on branch field applied but reset to all branches on page reload. Root cause: branch field bound to CRM column renamed 6 months ago but dashboard mapping not updated.

Problem: Tariq reported the branch filter worked while on the page but reset on reload, unlike other dashboards. Connor confirmed the issue was specific to this dashboard.

Root cause: The branch filter field was bound to a CRM column renamed 6 months ago. The brain's mapping was not updated after the schema change, so the filter could not resolve the column.

Watch: This highlights a data governance gap. CRM column changes are not tracked in dashboard definitions. Arjun needs to fix the binding; longer-term, implement CRM schema change monitoring.

Hi, We've got a dashboard showing trade account orders by region and branch, and when we set a filter on the branch field to show only "Midlands" or "North", the filter applies but it doesn't save when we reload the page. Every time we come back to the dashboard, the filter resets to "All branches". I can reproduce this in multiple browsers. Other dashboards don't have this problem. Thanks, Tariq Saleem

Hi Tariq, Thanks for reporting this. Just to confirm: you're setting the branch filter, it works while you're on the page, but when you reload or come back to the dashboard later, it's reverted to "All branches", right? And other dashboards remember their filters fine. Can you give me the exact name of the dashboard that's doing this? And are you saving the dashboard state before you leave, or expecting it to persist automatically? Thanks, Connor

The dashboard is called "Regional Orders Summary". And yes, I'm expecting the filter to persist, the other dashboards do that automatically, so I shouldn't need to save anything manually. It's only this one dashboard where it resets.

Thanks for that. I can see the dashboard in your account. I'm going to check whether the filter field was set up differently than the others when the dashboard was created.

Found it. The branch filter field on Regional Orders Summary is bound to a column that was renamed in the CRM six months ago but not updated in the dashboard definition. When the filter runs, it can't find the old column name so it doesn't save the state. This is a dashboard mapping issue. Escalating to Arjun to fix the column binding in the dashboard definition.

Okay, that makes sense. So it's the CRM column that changed. When will that be fixed?
