What this says
Current to 11 Oct 26Customer requested ability to filter bordereaux by underwriting year for capacity planning. Field existed in Salesforce source but wasn't exposed in dashboard editor; Bethan added it.
Problem: Callum Reid asked how to filter the bordereaux dataset by underwriting year in the capacity overview dashboard. The field existed in Salesforce but was not available in the filter dropdown, forcing syndicate teams to do capacity-planning splits manually in spreadsheets.
Handling: Bethan Lister clarified the requirement, confirmed the field was live in the Salesforce connector, identified that it simply hadn't been exposed in the dashboard editor when the dashboard was built, and added it. The field became available in the filter dropdown after the next data refresh.
Watch: Callum's ability to ask for filter visibility suggests active engagement and healthy adoption. The slow first response (350 minutes, beyond Growth SLA for a low-priority question) is acceptable for a how-to request, but the five-day overall resolution is worth noting.

Our syndicates keep asking for splits by year for capacity planning, and right now we're doing that manually in a spreadsheet. What I need is to expose the underwriting year field so we can slice the data that way in the brain. Is that possible?
- public_reply · Bethan Lister 24 Sep 2026 14:47Thanks for that, Callum. Just so I've got this right – you want to filter the bordereaux dataset by the underwriting year field, and it's not showing up in the filter dropdown right now. Can you tell me which dashboard you're looking at, and whether underwriting year is a field in your Salesforce connector? That'll help me work out what's going on.
- public_reply · Callum Reid 25 Sep 2026 13:00The capacity overview dashboard. Yes, underwriting year is in Salesforce in the opportunity record. I looked in the filter dropdown yesterday and it's not there.
- public_reply · Bethan Lister 29 Sep 2026 15:28I've picked this up and found it. The field is coming through from Salesforce but wasn't exposed in the dashboard editor as a filterable column when the dashboard was built. I've added it now, and you'll see it in the filter dropdown when the data refreshes – that'll be by 07:00 tomorrow morning. Try it then and let me know if that does the job.
