Callie Brennan set out the onboarding steps after a call and raised low usage against 40 licences. Sunil Kapoor agreed the plan, will reconcile the client list before sending it, and suggested starting with credit control.

Ask: Callie needs the client list with project codes and the finance credentials in writing before she starts the finance connector. She also wants an agreed order for bringing in the project, commercial and credit-control teams.

Customer view: Sunil agrees with the plan and would rather the list was right than quick. A few clients sit under a parent name in commercial and a site name in projects, so he will flag those separately.

Next: Sunil sends the list early the following week and forwards the credentials when IT release them.

Hi Sunil, Thanks for the call today. Here's the plan as I understood it, so please correct me if I've got anything wrong: - You'll send the list of clients with two names by early next week, with the project code against each. - I'll apply the project code as the master and check the mapping in the brain, then send you a short note of anything that doesn't map cleanly. - Once IT have given you the finance credentials, you'll send them to me in writing. I won't start the finance connector until they are in my inbox. - After that, we switch on the refresh and look at the first results together. One concern, and I'd rather say it plainly: with so few people in the brain, we're not yet getting the value Ashwell Mercer bought it for. The 40 licences are there to be used. Once the client list ties, I'd like us to agree a sensible order for bringing in the project, commercial and credit-control teams. Can you tell me if that order of events works? Thanks, Callie

Callie, That matches my notes. Two points: - The client list: I'll have it to you early next week. A few clients are under a parent name in commercial and under the site name in projects, so I'll flag those separately rather than guess. - Credentials: IT have said the request is with them. I'll forward as soon as I have them, in writing, as you asked. On bringing people in, I agree with the order. I'd start with credit control, because they check everything against the ledger and will tell us quickly if something is off. Then commercial, then the project managers. I'll reconcile the list properly before I send it. I'd rather it was right than quick. Sunil
