What this says
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026Ian Prendergast, Finance Director, will talk but agree nothing. He wants the contracted figure, any renewal uplift in pounds and usage by team before meeting, and says internal usage is thinner than expected.
Ask: Sophie Ling proposed thirty minutes on renewal ahead of the 1 Dec 2026 term end. Ian replied the same day with a list of what he needs first, including cost per vehicle on the fleet put through the brain.
Customer view: He holds the contracted figure as £42k, which should be checked against the executed order form. He cannot take a renewal line to the board without a value case.
Next: Early next week, mornings, with Gemma Thorne present so she hears the same numbers.

- Sophie Ling 27 Aug 2026 12:32Hi Ian, I'm conscious the Carnmoor term ends on 1 Dec 2026, and I'd like us to talk about renewal well before it gets tight. You signed the Growth contract, so I'd rather hear your view directly than work from assumptions. Could we find thirty minutes in the next couple of weeks? I'd like to cover three things: - what you've seen from the brain since you signed - how the 40 licensed users are being used across the teams - what you'd need in front of you to take a view at renewal Amara Obi, who looks after the account on the customer success side, is happy to join if that helps. If you'd prefer it just between the two of us first, that's fine too. Tell me which days suit and I'll work round you. Kind regards, Sophie Sophie Ling Account Executive, BG-Demo
- Ian Prendergast 27 Aug 2026 14:52Sophie, Thank you for the note. Happy to talk, but let me be clear about what the call is for. I'm not going to agree anything on it. I'd like to understand what has changed since the order form, and I'd like to see it in pounds. So, before we meet, please send me: - the contracted annual figure as you hold it, which I have as £41,800 - what, if anything, would move on renewal, shown as the uplift in pounds and not as a percentage on its own - usage for the licensed seats, by team, over the last two quarters I'll be candid. The usage I'm hearing about internally is thinner than I expected when we signed. That may be a matter of how we've rolled it out rather than the product, but I can't take a renewal line to the board without being able to explain what we get for it. What does that cost per vehicle on the fleet we actually put through it? I can do early next week, mornings are better. Gemma Thorne will want to be there for the client services side, and I'd rather she heard the same numbers I do. Ian Prendergast
