Current to 13 Oct 26Ian Prendergast asked for today's price, the proposed price, the change in pounds and any term changes. Sophie Ling gave £42k as the current figure and promised a written quote the following week; no figure is in the thread.
Ask: Ian wants a base and a change he can explain to the board. He also asks why a first-term customer is on a different price book from the one quoted to new customers.
Customer view: the renewal notice gave no amount, and he treats that as a gap. Sophie declined to give a figure by email and said nothing else in service levels or allowances is changing as far as she knows.
Next: the written quote, with the pound change against £42k and terms beside the current order form. The thread does not show whether it was sent.

- Ian Prendergast 4 Aug 2026 09:02Sophie, I have seen the renewal notice for our Growth subscription, which runs to 1 Dec 2026. The notice says the price will move to your current list price for the next term. It does not say by how much. Could you set out the following: - the price we pay today, as I understand it £41,800 a year - the price you propose for the next term - the difference in pounds, against that base - what, if anything, changes in the terms apart from price I can explain a figure to the board only if I know what it is a change from. I would also like to understand why a customer in its first term is on a different price book from the one you now quote to new customers. Gemma is copied as she will need to know what we are committing to. Ian Prendergast
- Sophie Ling 7 Aug 2026 12:37Hi Ian, hi Gemma, Thank you for the questions, Ian. Let me take them in order. Your current annual figure is £41,800 for 40 users on Growth. That reflects the price book in place when you signed in December. Customers who joined before the newer price book keep their original price for the first term, and move to the current list price at their first renewal. That is why the notice refers to the list price rather than a number: it applies from the start of the renewal term that follows 1 Dec 2026. I don't want to give you a figure in an email that you then have to defend without the paperwork behind it. I will send a written renewal quote next week, showing the proposed annual price, the change in pounds against £41,800, and the terms side by side with your current order form. Nothing else in the service levels or the user and connector allowances is changing as far as I know, and I will confirm that in the same document. Amara is copied. She has the usage picture from the recent QBR, and I think it is worth looking at it alongside the quote so you can see what the subscription is being used for. Happy to talk it through once you have the quote, whichever of you would find that helpful. Kind regards, Sophie Ling Account Executive, BB-Demo
