What this says
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026Sophie Ling and Gemma Thorne fixed a live proposal walkthrough at 15:00 on a Wednesday. Gemma asked that the proposal go to no one else yet and said she cannot decide commercial terms alone.
Ask: Gemma wants to read the proposal first and bring the leadership team and the service desk lead. She asked Sophie not to circulate it ahead of the session.
Customer view: She is cooperative but cautious, and she is clear that commercial sign-off sits above her.
Next: Sophie booked the session, will invite Gemma only and will add others once Gemma confirms who is coming. Hannah Lowe is to be on hand for service desk questions.

- Sophie Ling 25 Sep 2025 16:04Hi Gemma, I've pulled the proposal together and I'd like to take you through it live rather than just send a document, so you can stop me wherever something isn't clear. Would next Tuesday at 11:00 or Wednesday at 15:00 suit? It should take about an hour, no more. I'd suggest including whoever else needs to sign off on the commercial side, so that nobody has to hear it second-hand. If it's easier, I can do a shorter session first with just you and follow up with a wider group. Thanks, Sophie
- Gemma Thorne 26 Sep 2025 09:34Hi Sophie, Thanks for sending this over so quickly. Wednesday at 15:00 is better for me, as Tuesday is taken up with client reviews. I'll check who from the leadership team can come, since I don't take commercial decisions on my own. I'd also like the service desk lead there, because they'll want to know what changes for them day to day. One thing: please don't send the proposal ahead to anyone else just yet. I'd rather see it first before it goes round. I don't want to promise the team something I haven't read. Thanks, Gemma
- Sophie Ling 26 Sep 2025 11:12Hi Gemma, Understood. Wednesday at 15:00 is booked and I'll send the invite to you only for now, then add others once you've confirmed who's coming. I'll keep the proposal to you until we've been through it together, so nothing goes round before you've had a chance to read it. I'll also ask Hannah to be on hand for any questions from the service desk side. Cheers, Sophie
