What this says
Current to 11 Oct 26After the demo on the customer's mortgage pipeline data, Struan Mackay set three conditions before he can say yes: source systems, what runs inside and outside Snowflake, and BB-Demo access. He left timing to Morag.
Ask: Struan wants a list of source systems for the broker view, confirmation of what runs in the customer's Snowflake account, and how BB-Demo access is controlled and logged. He is less sure about the mortgage origination data.
Customer view: Conditional but constructive. He asked for a short architecture note ahead of any call and referred the access questions to Euan.
Next: Tom quoted £155k as the deal value on file, to be confirmed in the written proposal. The thread does not show whether the 30 Sep 2026 date held.

- Tom Ashdown 29 Jul 2026 12:49Hi Morag, Struan, Thanks for your time on the demo. Good to see the broker view running on your own mortgage pipeline data rather than a slide deck, and I thought the questions from your side were exactly the right ones. A quick recap so we are all working from the same page: - Morag, you want business development managers to see one picture of each broker firm: submissions, who is slipping, and what member services have heard from that firm's clients. That is the heart of what we showed. - Struan, you wanted to understand how the brain sits inside your Snowflake account and who controls it. Hannah is copied and can go through the design in whatever depth is useful. - We are looking at Enterprise, given the regulated setting and the security review your information security team will want to run. On commercials, the overall deal value we have on file is £155,000. I will confirm exactly how that breaks down in the written proposal rather than quote it from memory here, so please treat the proposal as the source. We have pencilled 30 Sep 2026 as the point you would like a decision by, but tell me if that is not realistic once supplier risk has had its say. No drama either way, I would rather we planned honestly. Could you each let me know what else you need from us to take this to your wider team? Let's get something in the diary for the next step once you have had a chance to talk it through. Cheers, Tom
- Struan Mackay 29 Jul 2026 15:29Tom, Thanks for the recap, that matches my notes. From the platform side, what I need before I can say yes to anything: - A clear list of which source systems the brain would read from for the broker view, and what it needs from each one. Our CRM is the obvious one but the mortgage origination data is the part I am less sure about. - Confirmation of what runs in our Snowflake account and what, if anything, runs outside it. - Who at BB-Demo would have access to our account, and how that is controlled and logged. I know Euan will have his own questions on the last two, so I would rather you spoke to him directly and I will not duplicate his list. On timing, I cannot comment on the end of September. That is more a question for Morag and the supplier risk process. If Hannah can send a short architecture note ahead of any call, that would help me. Thanks, Struan
