What this says
Current to 11 Oct 26Lewis Kerr sent a £4,548 expansion quote on 8 Sep 2026. Procurement wants scope in writing. CFO Malcolm Ridgway questions use against 200 licensed users, rejects 14 Sep 2026 and wants a usage note and the credit control effect.
Ask: Lewis proposed an expansion under the existing MSA, co-termed to the renewal on 27 Feb 2027, with 14 Sep 2026 as a target. Fiona Marsden asked for the added scope, the MSA clause and a purchase order route.
Customer view: Malcolm says only a fraction of the 200 users are active and asks what the expansion does to debtor days. He will not sign on 14 Sep 2026 and says Bernadette Lowry's view on use carries more weight than the quote.
Next: Lewis owes a usage note by team with the base for any percentage, and a written statement of what changes for credit control. Malcolm also wants the 27 Feb 2027 renewal settled on evidence.

- Lewis Kerr 8 Sep 2026 14:12Dear all, Following our call, I attach the quote for the expansion we discussed. To put a number on it, the deal total is £4,548. I have set out the VAT position on the quote itself, so nothing is left to interpret. It sits under your existing MSA and is co-termed to your renewal on 27 Feb 2027. Your current Enterprise terms are unchanged. I have shown the same price as discussed on the call and have not added any discount, as I would rather the figure was clean. We have pencilled in 14 Sep 2026 as the target to complete, but that is only a target. Please tell me what each of you needs in order to sign, and in what order, and I will send it today. Fiona, I assume this goes through your normal purchase order process. If there is a form or a supplier detail you need from us, please say so. Kind regards, Lewis
- Fiona Marsden 8 Sep 2026 17:01Lewis, Thank you for the quote. I have a few points before I can raise anything. - The quote does not say which part of the existing subscription it changes. Please confirm in writing exactly what is being added, and whether it is a one-off or recurring. - I need the order form to reference the MSA clause it falls under. - I will need a purchase order, and that cannot be raised until Malcolm has approved the scope. I should also say that I have not seen anything from our side to say that 14 Sep 2026 is agreed. Please do not treat it as a commitment. Kind regards, Fiona Marsden Procurement Manager
- Lewis Kerr 9 Sep 2026 14:31Dear all, Thank you, Fiona, that is fair, and I should have been clearer. On your points. The £4,548 is the total value of the expansion deal, not an annual price. It is an addition to your Enterprise subscription and is co-termed to the renewal on 27 Feb 2027. I will send a revised order form that names the MSA clause and states plainly what is added and what is unchanged. You will have it by the end of the week. On the date: understood, 14 Sep 2026 is our internal target and nothing more. I have noted it as such. Malcolm, I know you have a question about use against the 200 licensed users, and rightly so. I will put together a short note on activity by team, so you can see where it is being used and where it is not. If that does not support the expansion, I would rather tell you so than ask you to sign. Kind regards, Lewis
- Malcolm Ridgway 11 Sep 2026 17:10Lewis, I have read the quote and the schedule. We pay for 200 users. Only a fraction of them are active. You are asking for more money against that. What does it do to debtor days? That is the only return I care about, and so far nobody has shown me. I will not sign on 14 Sep 2026. Please treat the date as gone. Send me the usage note by team, with the base for any percentage, and put in writing what the expansion changes for credit control. Bernadette will tell you whether her team would use it. Her answer carries more weight with me than the quote does. After that I will decide. Renewal is on 27 Feb 2027 and I want that settled on evidence too. Malcolm Ridgway
