After the call, Tom Ashdown recaps a Growth tier proposal with a total value of £56,000. Helen Marsden says the value is within expectations but the board will ask what it gets and when. She wants connector dates in writing and says mid-August may be tight.

Ask: Helen wants, in writing, which connectors would be live and by when. She also wants to see how the dashboards builder would produce the repairs and complaints views for the board pack, section by section.

Customer view: The price is not the objection. Her concern is what the board receives and on what timetable, and she expects her own team to own the connectors with IT supporting.

Next: Tom commits to a one-page connector note and a mock-up of the views, and offers to move the timing to fit the board calendar.

Hi Helen, Thanks for your time on the call today. I know there was a lot to take in, so here is the short version of where we landed. The proposal is for the Growth tier, which covers several teams and the dashboards builder, with quarterly reviews built in. The total value on the proposal is £56,000. I'll confirm exactly how that splits between the one-off implementation and the subscription when the order form goes over, so please treat my summary as a guide and not the final word. You mentioned two things you wanted to take back to your team: how the arrears figure traces back to the housing management system, and who on your side would own the connectors. If you can let me know what your team makes of those, I can get answers lined up before we talk again. Our target is to have things agreed by the middle of August, but that's a plan and not a deadline, so there's no pressure from me. Cheers, Tom

Hi Tom, Thank you for the summary, that matches my notes. I've spoken to my director this morning. The total value is within what we expected, but the board will ask what we get for it and when. Can you show me, in writing, which of the connectors would be live and by when? I would also like to see how the dashboards builder would produce the repairs and complaints views for the board pack, section by section. On ownership, I would expect my team to own the connectors with IT supporting. I'll confirm that once I've had a word with them. On timing, the middle of August may be tight because of the board calendar. Let me come back to you on that. Kind regards, Helen

Hi Helen, Thanks, that's helpful and fair. Leave that with me. I'll put together a one-page note setting out which connectors would be live, in what order, and what we'd commit to in the order form. I'll also ask our solutions engineer to mock up the repairs and complaints views against the sections of your board pack, so you can check them against what you have today. On timing, we can work backwards from your board calendar instead of mine. If mid August is too tight, we move it. Better to get it right than quick. Would it help to get something in the diary with your team once you've seen the note? I'm flexible on days. Cheers, Tom
