What this says
Current to 11 Oct 26Tom Ashdown asks Helen Marsden for time to walk through the proposal. Helen wants it sent first for her director of finance and asks that each arrears and repairs figure is shown reconciled to source. She offers Thursday afternoon from 14:00.
Ask: Helen wants the proposal ahead of the call, with each figure in the arrears and repairs sections stated with its reconciliation to source. She says that if it only claims reconciliation she will ask to be shown.
Customer view: She will take it to her director of finance, who she expects to ask the same questions the board does. Tom agrees to send it within a day and says Hannah is adding a reconciliation section.
Next: The call is set for Thursday afternoon at 14:00, with the proposal sent beforehand.

- Tom Ashdown 15 Jul 2024 16:28Hi Helen, Hope the week's started well. The proposal is ready to go through with you, and I'd rather talk it over than just fire a PDF at you and leave you to guess what I meant. It covers what we'd set up first, which of your systems would be connected, and how the work would be phased so that the board pack figures can be checked against the housing system early on. I'll also cover the commercial terms and confirm anything I'm not certain of, so you're not relying on my memory for any of it. Would half an hour sometime this week suit you? I'm flexible, so just give me a day and a time and I'll make it work. If there's a particular section of the board pack you want the proposal to speak to, tell me and I'll make sure we start there. Cheers, Tom
- Helen Marsden 16 Jul 2024 11:44Dear Tom, Thank you. Please send the proposal across ahead of the call so that I can read it properly first. I would like to take it to our director of finance before we speak, and he will ask the same questions the board does. The parts I will be looking at most closely are the arrears and repairs sections. Can you make sure the proposal states how each figure is reconciled to the source? If it only says that it is, I will have to ask you to show me. I am free on Thursday afternoon, from 14:00 onwards. Friday morning is also possible but I would prefer Thursday. Kind regards, Helen
- Tom Ashdown 16 Jul 2024 12:02Hi Helen, Thursday afternoon works. I'll pop 14:00 in the diary and send an invite shortly. I'll get the proposal over to you today, or first thing tomorrow at the latest, so you and your finance director have time with it. Hannah is adding a section on how the reconciliation to the housing system works and where each figure comes from, so you'll have it in writing and not just in my say-so. Shout if anything in it needs another look. Cheers, Tom
