After discovery, Tom Ashdown recaps Helen Marsden's priorities and proposes the Growth tier. Helen confirms them, adds complaints connectivity and a cost comparison for her director. Tom quotes £56,000 total deal value including implementation.

Ask: Helen accepts Tom's summary and adds two points. She needs to know early whether the separate complaints system can connect, and wants cost in a form her director can compare with in-house options.

Customer view: She has not been asked for a formal comparison but expects one. Complaints is where she has least confidence in the board pack.

Next: Tom says £56,000 is the whole deal value, including the one-off implementation fee, not the annual subscription. He will send a breakdown and aims for an order form by 16 Aug 2024.

Hi Helen, Thanks again for the time on the discovery call. I came away with a much clearer picture of how your team stitches the board pack together, and I appreciate you being so open about where the pain is. From my notes, the three things that matter most to you are: - Arrears figures that reconcile to the housing management system, with the source visible. - Repairs tickets and complaints joined up with tenant calls, so patterns show before the board asks. - Your team's credibility with the board, which I took to mean no more manual patching the night before. On our side, the Growth tier looks the natural fit for what you described, given it covers several teams and includes the dashboards builder. I'll confirm the detail of what that includes in writing rather than quote from memory. Could you tell me if I've missed anything, or got anything wrong? Best, Tom Tom Ashdown Account Executive, BB-Demo

Dear Tom, Thank you, that is a fair summary. Two additions. First, the complaints data sits in a separate system from repairs, and I would want to understand early whether both can be connected, because the complaints section of the board pack is where I have the least confidence. Second, I will need something I can take to my director that shows the cost in a form they can compare with our in-house options. I have not yet been asked to make a formal comparison, but I expect I will be, and I would rather be ready. Can you show me the source of each number when we get to the demo, not just the totals? Kind regards, Helen

Hi Helen, Good, that helps. On the complaints system, we'll check the connector question properly before the demo so you're not left guessing. No drama if it needs a bit of digging. On cost, I don't want to hand you a loose number, so here's where we are. The deal we have pencilled in for the Growth tier is £56,000 in total. That's the overall value of the deal, including the one-off implementation fee, so please don't read it as the annual subscription on its own. I'll send a proper breakdown so your director can see what is one-off and what recurs, and I'll confirm it all in writing. We've been working to having an order form ready for signature by 16 Aug 2024, but only if it suits your timetable. There's no pressure from me on that. Let's get the demo in the diary next and take it from there. Cheers, Tom
