What this says
Current to 11 Oct 26Tom Ashdown asks Helen Marsden for a discovery hour. She agrees and sets her priority: arrears figures in the board pack do not reconcile to the housing management system. Logistical, but it states the buying need early.
Ask: Tom wants an hour of discovery with no pitch. Helen agrees and says the arrears section is the part she cares most about.
Customer view: She wants to see the source of each number, because the board will ask. She brings one repairs analyst and keeps the invite small.
Next: Tom confirms Monday at 10:30 and says he will come prepared on where each figure comes from. The thread does not show who on BB-Demo's side owns the source answer.

- Tom Ashdown 19 Jun 2024 12:39Hi Helen, Thanks for taking the time to get back to us last week. I hope the board pack deadline hasn't been too punishing. I'd like to get a proper discovery conversation in the diary so we can understand how your team pulls tenant calls, repairs tickets, complaints and rent arrears together today, and where it hurts. No slides, no pitch at this stage. I mostly want to listen and make sure I'm asking the right questions. It would be good to have around an hour. Would later this week or early next week suit? If anyone else on your side deals with the housing management system extract, it would be useful to have them on the call, but only if that's easy to arrange. Let's get something in the diary. Best, Tom Tom Ashdown Account Executive, BB-Demo
- Helen Marsden 19 Jun 2024 13:04Dear Tom, Thank you. An hour is fine, and I would rather have the conversation before the next board cycle starts than after. I can do Friday morning, or Monday after ten. I should say now that the main thing I want to cover is the arrears section of the board pack. At the moment the figures there do not reconcile with what the housing management system reports, and the board will ask. If you can tell me on the call how the brain would let me show the source of each number, that is the part I care most about. One of my analysts, who looks after the repairs data, will join me. I will keep the invitation to the two of us from my side, plus you. Kind regards, Helen
- Tom Ashdown 24 Jun 2024 11:25Hi Helen, Sorry for the slow reply, it's been one of those weeks. Monday after ten is great for me, so let's say 10:30 and I'll send the invite straight after this. I've noted the arrears section and the reconciliation point. I'll come prepared to talk about where each figure comes from rather than waving at a dashboard, and I'll leave that with our team so we can give you a straight answer on the source question. If anything changes before then, just shout. Cheers, Tom
