What this says
Current to 10 Oct 26Marcus Bell proposed a quarterly review. Gareth Whitlam replied that he wants the numbers first, cannot see what the company pays for, and will not discuss renewal terms until he has seen them.
Ask: Gareth wants to know by how much usage has dipped and who has stopped, before the meeting. He also wants evidence of what the brain has saved or found.
Customer view: he inherited the contract and did not choose it, and says a list of features will not answer his question. He asked that the invitation not be read as agreement to anything.
Next: Marcus needs to send the numbers first, then Gareth will pick a slot for half an hour.

- Marcus Bell 25 Sep 2026 14:03Hi Gareth, I'd like to get our quarterly review in the diary before the end of next month. With the contract end on 30 Nov 2026 coming up, it makes sense to look at how the brain has been used this year and what you want from it going forward. I've pulled the numbers and I'd rather show them to you than describe them. Usage has dipped over the last quarter, and I'd like us to understand why before we talk about anything commercial. I don't want to guess at the reasons from my side. I'd suggest: - you, me and Aisha, as she's the one in the product day to day - a screen share of the usage and the questions being asked - a short list of what is and isn't working for your teams Shall we book half an hour next week? Happy to work around your calendar. Thanks, Marcus
- Gareth Whitlam 25 Sep 2026 14:21Marcus, I've read your note. A few things. First, you say usage has dipped. By how much, and who has stopped using it? I'd like to see that before the meeting, not during it. Second, I'm still not clear what exactly we are paying for. I inherited this contract. I didn't choose it. Show me the usage and show me what it has saved or found for us. A list of features won't answer that. Third, I'm not minded to discuss renewal terms until I've seen the above. Please don't take the invitation as agreement to anything. Half an hour is fine. Send me the numbers first and I'll pick a slot. Gareth Whitlam, Finance Director
