What this says
Current to 10 Oct 26Gareth Whitlam, Finance Director, chased a per-person usage report before any renewal talk. Marcus Bell replied that active users are three to four against forty licensed, and the cause is unknown.
Ask: Gareth wants usage by person, covering who is logged in, how often and what they ask. He says he needs to know what the company is paying for before renewal is raised.
Customer view: he had asked earlier and not received it, so he is already frustrated. The contract ends on 30 Nov 2026.
Next: Marcus admitted usage is well down against forty licensed users on Growth, with no tickets and connectors loading. He proposed a call with the depot account managers and whoever now handles revenue operations.

- Gareth Whitlam 17 Sep 2026 09:07Marcus, I asked for this when we last spoke and I have not had it. Please send me the usage report for the brain: who is logged in, how often, and what they are asking. By person, not a summary. The contract ends on 30 Nov 2026 and I need to know what we are paying for before anyone raises renewal with me. Show me the usage. Gareth Whitlam, Finance Director
- Marcus Bell 18 Sep 2026 16:09Hi Gareth, Apologies for the delay, and thanks for chasing. I've pulled the numbers and I'd rather give you the plain picture than dress it up. On the usage side: - Active users over the last month average about three to four people, against forty licensed users on the Growth subscription - That is well down on the previous quarter, and the drop is across the board rather than in one depot - Questions asked have fallen in step with the users, and a small number of people account for most of them - Dashboards that were built earlier in the contract are still there, but few of them are being opened On the service side, there have been no tickets in the last month, so nothing is stuck or broken on our side. The connectors are loading as normal. That tells me the brain is working, but it is not being used much, and I would rather say so now than have you find it in the numbers. What I can't tell you from the data is why. A conversation with the depot account managers would help, and I think it would be worth having whoever now looks after revenue operations in the room, because that is where most of the day-to-day use used to sit. The report by user is attached to the calendar invite I'll send separately, so it stays with the people who need to see it. I'd suggest you and whoever else on your side sees this report join the call. Shall we book half an hour next week? Happy to jump on a call whenever suits you.
