What it says
What this says
As at Fri 9 Oct 2026A final QBR deck dated 8 Apr 2025 for a Growth customer on 40 licensed users, with contracted annual recurring revenue of £40k and a term ending 22 Aug 2025. Usage is about six people a month, with one overdue invoice and no agreed value measure.
What it is: a customer-facing QBR deck prepared by Marcus Bell, Customer Success Manager, with Priya Raman as account owner. It reviews contract, usage, support, value and a plan for the next quarter.
What it says: "around six people use the brain in a typical month" against 40 licensed users, with use "concentrated in a small group". Two tickets were raised in the last thirty days, none high priority.
Risk: "There is one invoice showing as overdue on our records", and "What we do not yet have is a number the leadership team can point to". Both matter ahead of the 22 Aug 2025 term end.
Not settled: the deck is not a contract and sets no new commitments. It does not show the overdue invoice amount, whether it was paid, or whether the renewal happened. It is a snapshot from April 2025, so its usage and contract status may be stale.

Ashwell Mercer Interiors bought Growth so that the project, commercial and credit-control teams can see each client's projects, variations, calls and invoices in one place, instead of reconciling them by hand across systems.
Usage: what the numbers say
I've pulled the numbers for the last quarter. The headline is a mixed picture.
Read the whole document (4,536 characters)
- Active users: around six people use the brain in a typical month. That is up by about a quarter on the previous quarter, so the direction is right.
- Against the licence: the Growth tier includes 40 users, so most of the allowance is not yet in use. That is headroom for the teams that have not started.
- Who is asking: use is concentrated in a small group. We would like to see it spread across the project, commercial and credit-control teams, so the brain does not depend on a few people.
What this means
The people who use it are coming back, and use is growing. The opportunity is breadth. A wider group asking questions is what turns the brain from a useful tool for a few into the place the whole business checks a client's position.
Support and service
| Measure | Last thirty days |
|---|---|
| Tickets raised | Two |
| High priority tickets | None |
Both tickets were routine and there were no high priority issues. The Growth service levels for availability and first response were the ones we worked to. If anything has felt slow on your side that did not reach a ticket, please tell me and I will look into it.
Commercial housekeeping
- There is one invoice showing as overdue on our records.
- I have raised it with your finance team so they can check it against their own records. It may simply be a timing or purchase-order matter.
- Commercial questions sit with Priya Raman, and she is happy to pick it up with you if useful.
Value so far
What we have heard from the account, in general terms:
- Teams can see calls, emails, variations and invoices for a client together rather than switching between systems.
- Credit control has a clearer view of the client conversation behind an invoice before they chase it.
- Commercial colleagues can find the history of a variation without asking round the office.
What we do not yet have is a number the leadership team can point to. A short, agreed measure of value would help at renewal, for example time saved on a monthly client review or fewer queries passed between teams. We would like to agree one with you this quarter.
Plan for the next quarter
| Action | Owner | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Run a short walkthrough for the project team on asking questions about a live fit-out | Marcus Bell with your project lead | Brings a second group into regular use |
| Run the same for credit control, focused on invoice and call history | Marcus Bell with your credit-control lead | Ties the brain to a daily task |
| Review which connected systems matter most and check each is loading as expected | Marcus Bell | Keeps the answers current |
| Agree one simple value measure | Marcus Bell with your sponsor | Gives a clear case at renewal |
| Share a short usage note after each walkthrough | Marcus Bell | Shows progress without a long report |
I will not promise anything that depends on our engineering team without checking first. If a walkthrough shows a gap in the data, I will tell you what we know and what we are looking into.
Renewal and next steps
The current term ends on 22 Aug 2025. Ahead of that:
- I will send the renewal notice and set up a renewal conversation with you in good time.
- Priya Raman will cover commercial terms for the next term.
- Before that conversation, I would like usage to be wider and the value measure agreed, so the discussion is about what the brain has done for the business.
Happy to jump on a call whenever suits to go through any of this.
Thanks, Marcus
