What it says
What this says
Current to 11 Oct 26Draft proposal from Tom Ashdown for the Starter tier, dated 1 Dec 2023 and not issued. It states a Starter annual price of £17,550 and a total first-year deal amount of £23,550 including implementation. It gives no availability or P1 response figures.
What it is: an internal first draft marked "Draft for review. Not yet issued to the customer." It proposes the Starter tier for the scheme-relationship team, run inside the customer's own Snowflake account.
Commits: nothing binding. The price table gives "Starter subscription, annual price" of £17,550 and a "Total deal amount, including the one-off implementation fee" of £23,550. The subscription is billed annually in advance on 30-day terms.
Unusual: the Starter annual price differs from the v1 list in the company brief, and no discount is stated. The document does not explain the difference. It also leaves the user and connector allowances to the order form.
Not settled: the open points section lists the source systems, the number of users, security questions and final pricing review. No service levels, connector dates or signatory are given, and the evidence does not show whether a proposal was ever issued or signed.

Body
Kelvinhaugh Pension Services - Proposal v1
Draft for review. Not yet issued to the customer.
Prepared by: Tom Ashdown, Account Executive, BB-Demo Date: Friday 1 December 2023 Customer success contact: Daniel Okafor Account owner: Priya Raman
1. Context
Kelvinhaugh Pension Services, based in Glasgow, administers defined-benefit and defined-contribution schemes on behalf of Scottish employers. Its scheme-relationship managers spend a good part of each week pulling together what is known about a scheme from several places: the CRM, email threads, call notes and support tickets. The picture is rarely in one place, and it takes time to rebuild before every client conversation.
From our discussions so far, the aim is simple: let the relationship managers ask one question and get an answer drawn from all of those sources, without anyone reconciling them by hand.
2. What we propose
BB-Demo proposes the Starter tier of the company brain for the scheme-relationship team. The brain is built and run inside Kelvinhaugh's own Snowflake account, so the data stays within your environment.
Starter is designed for one team and includes:
Read the whole document (3,736 characters)
- Pages, chat and search over the connected sources.
- The standard Starter user and connector allowances, which we will confirm in the order form.
- A check-in with your customer success manager at regular intervals through the year.
- The standard Starter service levels, set out in the Master Services Agreement.
3. Scope
| Area | In scope |
|---|---|
| Team | Scheme-relationship managers |
| Tier | Starter |
| Deployment | Inside the customer's Snowflake account |
| Sources | The CRM, email and support tickets, subject to the connector allowance |
| Implementation | One-off, fixed-fee implementation to connect and index the chosen sources |
| Support | Standard Starter support and service levels |
Anything beyond one team, for example a second department or additional connectors, can be added later as a separate order.
4. Pricing
| Item | Amount |
|---|---|
| Starter subscription, annual price | £17,550 |
| Total deal amount, including the one-off implementation fee | £23,550 |
The subscription is billed annually in advance on 30-day terms. The total deal amount is the whole first-year value, so it includes the implementation fee and should not be read as the annual price. In later years the subscription is the only recurring charge.
5. How we would work together
- Agree scope. Confirm the team, the sources to connect and who will be the day-to-day contacts at Kelvinhaugh.
- Order form. We issue an order form under the Master Services Agreement, naming the connectors and when each should be live.
- Implementation. We connect and index the sources inside your Snowflake account, following the standard Starter timetable.
- Adoption. Your customer success manager works with the relationship managers on the questions they will ask most, and checks in as the team gets going.
6. Open points
This is a first draft and a few things still need confirming before it goes out:
- Which systems hold the scheme-relationship data today, so we can confirm they fit within the Starter connector allowance.
- How many relationship managers will use the brain from the start.
- Whether Kelvinhaugh wants any security or data-handling questions answered before the order form is drawn up.
- Final review of the pricing above before it is shared.
7. Next steps
Once the open points are settled, I will send the proposal across and we can set up a short call with your team to walk through it. I will confirm all figures in writing before anything is agreed.
